The rest of the weekend was just anger at Chloe. This was something I just couldn't get. Minho tried to tell me that it was because I probably really liked her and that I should just talk to her if she really mattered to me. I couldn't even be bothered to listen.

After fourth period I saw Chloe walking around with Minho. Couldn't she just leave my friends alone? Anger that was just from seeing her started to bubble up.

I felt someone watching me and I spun around quickly with annoyance. Behind me was Amber Smith. Amber had long blonde hair, crystal blue eyes, a nice tan, a big chest and long legs. She was the walking stereotype for California girls.

Amber looked over my shoulder then back at me. I could feel her eyes burning into mine.

"You were staring at that weird girl, Chloe Howell."
"She's not wei-" I started defending her, getting protective when memories of Sunday morning came flooding back. "She's not even my friend. I was looking at Minho. I need to borrow his math homework but he was so bloody far away I wasn't sure if it would be worth it."

Amber smiled a flirtatious smile. "It's so cute when you say bloody. I love your accent."

"Cute?"

"Well yeah, you're honestly so adorable. More, like, hot actually. Not the point though," She giggled. "The point is that I've had a crush on you for like, ever. But like you stupid boys can't ever see what's like right in front of you. I just had to tell this now because like, if you do have a crush on Chloe then I figured I should probably, like get to you first."

Geez, how many times could she say "like"? Airhead much? I instantly knew that Chloe wouldn't like her, Chloe was ten times smarter than Amber.

But she caught my attention. Had a crush on me, huh? This could go some where. If Chloe wanted to make me angry and not take me then someone else would.

"Really? That's funny, actually. I've actually bloody liked you for a while too. I guess I was just too shy to say it." I lied (making sure to add the word bloody in) and gave her a sheepish shrug.

In return, Amber gave me a smirk. "I know a place where you could show me how much you like me."

Without waiting for a response. Amber grabbed my hand tightly and dragged me through the sea of students. I was confused but thought it would probably be best to just follow.

Eventually, Amber stopped in front of a janitor closet. I finally realized what was happening. I wanted to protest, tell her no way, but I had already told that I liked her. Besides, Chloe wasn't an option anymore. In fact I was so mad at Chloe that I decided this would be a great thing. She wouldn't find out about this moment but after a week or two I could call Amber my girlfriend and make Chloe jealous. Show her what she could have had with me.

I immediately set down my bag against the wall, next to the door. There wasn't anything valuable in there. Amber still kept a tight squeeze on my hand, but with her right had she turned the knob on the door. Sure enough, it was unlocked.

She looked around before opening it and stepping in with me then shutting the door.

"I never knew that you had liked me." Amber purred then slipped her slender arms around my neck.

I drew her in close with a smirk. Chloe was going to regret what she had done in two weeks.

It was like I became a different person. It was all too uncharacteristic of me. I kissed her roughly and passionately and Amber kissed back just as rough.

It was different from kissing Chloe. It was nice and the anger, thanks to Chloe, made it even more pleasing. But with Chloe, there was a spark that made my stomach twist inside and gave me a warm feeling. Kissing Amber didn't do that. It was numb and cold, despite the heat of the California day.

Within seconds, Amber pulled my shirt over my head and I allowed her without the smallest debate.

I pressed her against the shelves without a single thought in my head. But it wasn't the same thing as when Chloe made my thoughts leave.
