Merry Christmas🎄
Every year for Christmas, since marinette and Damian had known each they would compete and try to get each other the best christmas gift. Marinett Would always win but not this year.
Damian had started designing her gift since the end of October. He wanted his gift to be perfect for her not because he wanted to beat her but because he wanted to show her how much he cared and that she was important to him.
Damian's gift was a charm bracelet. What made it special was he custom drew each charm and they were all things that were most important to her and things they had done together. He had spent hours on end drawing each detail on the charms finding the perfect colour that would work and making sure that his design was doable.
The jeweller was the one his father had gone to get his stepmother Selena's ring made by, he had told his father about his opinion of his idea and his father had said it was a wonderful idea. The jeweller whose name was Peter found it sweet and was more than happy to help him.
He remembered the conversation he had with his father, "Father, I want to give Angel something special for Christmas this year and I was thinking of jewellery, but I'm not sure" he had said.
"Christmas is months away, why so soon son?" Bruce asked looking at Damian intently, "I would like to have it custom made for her and I would also like to win this year." he had said and BRuce chuckled at his son's choice of wording.
"Go for a bracelet, earrings or a necklace but avoid rings" Bruce said. Damian looked at his father curiously.
"A past lover? Father" he asked and Bruce nodded in response. "It was meant to be a promise ring, she thought I was proposing. When I tried to explain she threw me out" he said rubbing his temples thinking of the memorie.
Today was Christmas eve and Damian was going to pick up his gift and he didn't have to worry about Marinett Getting suspicious as she was working away on finishing her last Christmas gifts.
She had let him keep her company while she did the other bat boys gifts but told him to leave when she was about to start on his, saying it was a surprise and he agreed on the condition she didn't overwork herself.
Time skip
Damian walked out of the building a small grey box with a pink ribbon in his hand. He had a small smile on his face. He had the tag attached to the ribbon . All he had to do now was slip it under the tree.
Once he saw Alfred waiting for him across the street he opened the door and placed the gift down next to him. "I'm guessing by that look it turned out perfectly and you were worrying for nothing" Alfred said from the front seat.
"I guess you were right. '' Damian admitted he had been so worried it wouldn't have been ready in time for Christmas or something going wrong.
