Chapter 11 - "Practice"

Lucas brought Skylar back into the practice room to be met by a room full of shocked expressions.

"What just happened?" Mark was the first to speak.

"Better question, who is that?" Yangyang pointed at Skylar.

"Guys this is Skylar. Skylar, this is the rest of NCT." Taeyong said.

"Hi, I'm Skylar." Skylar shyly waved at the stunned members

"I'm Yangyang." Yangyang said.

"I'm Sungchan." Sungchan said.

After each member had introduced themselves to Skylar, Johnny spoke up.

"You are so tiny and cute!" He smiled at Sky

Skylar sighed and rolled her eyes. "If you say so."

"But seriously, why are you so small?"

"I've been thinking about how it happened, and I think it's this bracelet." Skylar held up her wrist to show Johnny her bracelet.

"I've never seen anything like that before. Where did you get it?"

"Someone gave it to me in Australia."

"Australia?"

"Yes, I lived there until I met Lucas."

"Okay. How does it work?"

"I remember pressing this button." Skylar pushed the red button and waited. Nothing happened.

"That's weird." She said.

"Try the blue one." Johnny suggested

"Good idea." Skylar pushed the blue button of the bracelet.

After a few seconds the gem glowed and the bracelet vibrated.

"I don't think anything happ-." Skylar looked around the room and realized that she was normal sized. "I guess that's how you get back to normal." She said.

"Guys, where's Johnny?" Taeyong asked.

"I don't know. I could've sworn he was right here." Mark said

"I am!" Johnny's voice could be heard but he wasn't anywhere to be seen.

"We can hear you but we can't see you." Mark replied

"Look down." Johnny said

Mark looked on the floor to where Johnny had been standing and gasped. Johnny was now about two inches tall.

"How did this happen?" Taeyong said as he picked up Johnny.

"Maybe someone else has to shrink for me to become normal-sized." Skylar said

"Yeah but why Johnny?"

"I don't know. I was thinking about him when I pushed the button."

"That makes sense. But how do I get back?"

"I'll try pressing the red button." Skylar said as she pushed the red button on her bracelet.

The gem glowed once more and as Skylar shrunk, Johnny got back to his normal height.

"Could you try to shrink someone else?" Mark asked

"I volunteer!" Jisung said

"No, do me!" Yuta said

"Okay..." Skylar pushed the blue button.

Instead of just one member shrinking, Yuta and Jisung shrank.

"Woah, the dance room looks so different from down here." Jisung said

"And you're so much cuter!" Johnny scooped up Jisung.

"I guess so. Now please put me down. I wanna explore."

"Okay." Johnny chuckled as he carefully placed Jisung on the floor

"Guys please be careful, I don't want anyone getting hurt." Doyoung said

"Yuta hyung, look at the water filter." Jisung pointed up at the water filter in the corner of the room.

"Wow," Yuta said. "It's so big from down here."

"If Skylar can shrink multiple people, we should play hide and seek." Mark suggested

"Yeah! It'd be so fun." Ten said

"I don't know if I can do 23 people, but I can try." Skylar said.

First she pushed the red button to get Yuta and Jisung back to normal size.

"Is everyone ready?" She asked

"Are you sure this is safe?" Doyoung asked with a worried expression on his face

"I guess we'll have to find out." Haechan replied with a teasing tone in his voice.

Skylar closed her eyes and thought of each member of NCT. Then she pushed the blue button.

"Haha it worked!" Xiaojun exclaimed

"It did?" Skylar opened her eyes.

"Yeah!"

"Wow, I wasn't expecting that to work, but I guess it did." Jeno said

"I can see why everyone called me cute, because you all look so cute when you're tiny!"

"Anyways let's start playing." Haechan said

Skylar sat down in a nearby chair, completely unaware of the chaos that she was about to witness.
