After finally finishing practicing, NCT went back to their dorms. Kai and Baekhyun had decided to take Skylar to the EXO dorm.
"Sky, wake up. We're here." Kai gently poked the sleeping girl
"I don't wanna." She whined
"Fine." Kai sighed and put the sleeping girl on his palm.
Baekhyun unlocked the door and Kai followed.
"Hey guys! How was your-" Sehun was interrupted by Chanyeol
"OH MY GOD WHAT IS THAT?!" Chanyeol screamed, pointing to Skylar
"Well 'that' is a human being. Her name is Skylar and we met her in Australia." Baekhyun explained to Chanyeol and Sehun.
"If she's human, then why is she so small?" Sehun leaned in to get a better look at a sleeping Skylar.
"Because of this bracelet." Skylar, who had been woken up by Chanyeol, held up her wrist to show Sehun her bracelet.
"Is it like magic or something?" Chanyeol asked
"I don't really know. All I know is that you press this button to go back to normal but it shrinks other people, and this button makes me go back to being tiny."
"What are you guys talking about?" Chen asked as he stepped out of his room, not noticing Skylar
"Skylar was explaining how her bracelet works." Sehun smiled
"Skylar? Whos Sky-" Chen stopped when he saw her, "Is that a pocket person!? They're real?!" Chen squealed in excitement
"What?" Kai raised an eyebrow
"A pocket person or a pocket sized person is a tiny person. I heard about it on Tumblr. I thought it was just an internet hoax like Jaehyun's eight kids, but apparently not." Chen smiled
"So there are more people like me?" Skylar asked him
"I don't know, I thought you would know stuff like that."
"How would I know? I shrunk like three days ago!!"
"I've never heard of a normal person turning pocket sized, and even then, pocket people are pretty hard to come across. I think it's cuz they get taken to labs for experiments and stuff."
"Oh." Skylar's eyes got cloudy as she frowned
An awkward silence swept over the room.
For the rest of the time at EXO's dorm, Skylar stayed quiet. It hurt Baekhyun's heart to see his new-found friend like this. He wished he could do something about it, so he did some searching online, but he couldn't find anything. Later that night he got a text from Mark.
Mark: did something happen at your dorm when skylar was over
Baekhyun: not really
Baekhyun: why?
Mark: renjun told me she seemed kinda sad when she came back
Baekhyun: really??
Mark: yeah
Mark: did you guys say smth to her
Baekhyun: chen told her about pocket sized people and how they arent very common then she got all sad
Mark: oh
Baekhyun: yall should do something that will cheer her up
Mark: like what?
Baekhyun: idk
Mark: i got it
Baekhyun: what
Mark: we'll take her to lotte world
Baekhyun: but what about all the people there
Mark: she mentioned that she likes the ocean so we'll do the aquarium
Mark: we can go tomorrow since it's our free day and it's a week day so it will be less busy
Baekhyun: i hope y'all have fun
Mark: me too
Baekhyun: bye
Mark: bye
