*Third Person's Pov*

It's the next morning and Bryce wants to go see Mads to talk to her, but she moved and he has no idea where she lives now.

Josh: bruh, why don't you call her so she can come to you.
Bryce: you do realize she hasn't been returning my calls.
Josh: well like you told me I don't blame her.
Bryce: stop using my words against me.
Josh: it's true though. You stopped talking to her for what?
Bryce: don't act like you didn't do the same thing.
Josh: and I paid for it already, and apologized.
Bryce: you're right. You know where she lives so you're taking me to her.
Josh: I didn't say all that-
Bryce: come on.
Josh: fine.

Josh grabs his keys and they went to his car.

Josh: if she hates me again because of you, I'm going to hurt you.
Bryce: she's not going hate you...again. Besides you know you can't hurt me.

Josh knew he was right but still he didn't want to get on her bad side again.

He starts driving to Mads apartment and Bryce starts to recognize the apartment complex.

Bryce: isn't this-
Josh: yeah, the apartment complex Mads, and Jaden went to go look at.

Meanwhile, Mads was kicking Riley out, but you know not literally.

Riley: are you sure you'll be okay on your own.
Mads: yes. I don't understand why you have so much stuff.
Riley: because I thought it would take you longer to heal.
Mads: oh I'm still healing but I think this is something I need to do on my own, because you're not always going to be around.
Riley: you're right. Promise me you won't go on the deep end.
Mads: I promise.
Riley: I love you.
Mads: I love you too.

Riley leaves and Mads notices Bryce, and Josh getting out their car.

Mads: oh hell no.

She goes back into the apartment complex and into her apartment.

Josh: yeah she's piss alright.
Riley: hey, what are you guys doing here?
Bryce: came to talk to Mads.
Riley: I doubt she'll let you in, but I will come on.

They followed her up to the entrance. She typed in the code for the apartment complex. Then they went upstairs to Mads door; she unlocks the door, and pushes it open.

Riley: there y'all go.
Bryce: thank you Riley.
Riley: you're welcome.Mads, you got company!
Mads: Riley!

Riley laughs while leaving out the door again. Bryce, and Josh hear a slam come from upstairs.

Josh: Mads?

They rush upstairs, even though all she did was slam her door.

Bryce: Mads, open the door.
Mads: no!
Bryce: come on Mads.
Josh: umm Bryce.
Bryce: what? I'm trying to get her to open the door.

Josh twists the doorknob, and the door opens.

Bryce: oh...

They walk in and Mads is curled up in a ball on her bed under the blanket.

Mads: shit.

She said quietly to herself. Josh walks over to her bed pulling the covers from over her head.

Josh: Mads?
Mads: why are you guys here?
Bryce: I wanted to check on you. See if you're okay.
Mads: I'm fine. There you can leave now.
Bryce: Mads, please don't be like this.
Mads: I'm not being like anything. I-I just don't want to talk to you right now.
Bryce: Mads, I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I stopped talking to you.
Mads: whatever I don't care anymore.
Bryce: yes you do Mads. Look, I might still be friends with them, but I'm not going to stop being there for you guys.
Mads: it's not even that. It's the fact that you didn't call, or text me at all. I get it that the video was hella petty, but I was in pain and I didn't handle it in the right way. I was losing everyone I love and I knew you were next after you never called me.
Bryce: I wanted to give you space. A lot has happened to you, the both of you in the past 2 months. I wanted to give you space to make sure I didn't want to overwhelm you.
Mads: it j-just felt like I was losing my number one best friend.
Josh: ow that hurt.
Bryce: not now Josh. Mads, I'm never going leave you.
Mads: promise?
Bryce: I promise. I'll always be there.

Of course Mads trusted him but she couldn't help but think what if something like this happened again. Will they stop being friends? Would he just leave? All those thoughts were running through her mind. She most definitely didn't want him to give up his friends because he would never make her do that.

Josh: when was the last time we all hang out together?
Mads: January?
Josh: it's been that long?!
Mads: yeah...sadly though.
Bryce: are you two like a thing now?...

He says that because Josh has his hand arm around Mads with her holding his hand. Bryce really giving them the suspicious look.

Josh: I wouldn't say that.
Mads: no we aren't.

Bryce: yeah I'm not buying that.
Mads: and why would I lie to you?
Bryce: because you did it before.
Mads: when did I ever do that?
Bryce: when you said, you and Jaden weren't back together, and then boom you know yeah happened.
Mads: can you not remind me of that.
Bryce: so are you ready to tell me the truth?
Mads: umm...no

She says getting up going downstairs. Of course Josh, and Bryce followed her downstairs.

Bryce: so y'all are?
Mads: I never said that.
Bryce: Mads just tell me.
Mads: I don't want too.
Bryce: Mads-
Mads: fine, we might be talking, or whatever you would like to call it.
Bryce: wait really?
Josh: yeah...we weren't suppose to say anything.
Mads: well, when you have someone continuing to bother you. You won't have a choice would you?
Josh: true.
Bryce: are y'all sure this is a good idea?
Josh: no, but it won't hurt giving it a try.
Bryce: yes, yes it will.
Mads: look they didn't care about my feelings, or his so why should I care? I'm tired of putting myself and my happiness last for everyone else just so I can get my heartbroken. It's tiring, and annoying. Now I'm putting myself first and I don't care what y'all say.
Bryce: you're right. You put yourself last a lot, and I know how that's like. Just promise me you won't get hurt in the process.
Mads: I promised you that when I got back together with Jaden in November. If I promise you that now, I would be lying.
Bryce: well, just promise me you'll be careful.
Mads: I promise I'll be careful.
Josh: what about me?
Bryce: we know you'll be okay.
Josh: yeah, you're right.
