Monday Morning
It's so hard trying not to call him
I really want him to explain to me how and why it happened.
"I LOVE YOU Toriola Badmus." He said
"Would you be my bae." He said
Who knew that he was lying, if I had accepted that time, this is how he would have crushed me.
I'm even the stupid one for Believing him, I mean which handsome boy like that who is not blind and is in his right senses would like me not to talk of loving me.
But what i don't get is why he lied to me, I didn't tell him that I loved him or I want to date him and I didn't beg for his love.
He really is wicked
Every one around me is wicked
The world is wicked
Infact I don't want to talk to anyone
I just want to lay on my bed covered in my duvet and cry my eyeballs out.
Which I was doing now
"Toriola mi Jo ba mi si ilekun ( Toriola please open the door)." Tomi said, as she kept on banging the door
"Tori no do me like this oh oh oh, ara mi ti wa lona ( Toriola don't do like this now, my mind is already on the road)." Toni said in her fluent pidgin, singing a part from the song FOR YOU by Teni ft Davido.
"You know I'm late for the party." Toni continued as she banged on the door continuously. I guess she was already prepared for the party, her and her real friends were going to.
"JUST GO AWAY!." I yelled, hoping it will make them go away.
"Toriola Jo ma se ba yii fun mi ( Toriola please don't do this to me)." Wait isn't that my mum's voice , is she also there.
"Mum is that you." I screamed
"Yes ,your father is also here and some of your friends, please open the door." She said and I'm sure she was crying cause her voice was shaky
But why
"Maybe because you have locked us inside this room for three days, like common I'm hungry." My subconscious said
Oh I actually forgot about my subconscious , she's been quiet for a while now but she decided to talk today.
"How many of you are there." I screamed
"Would you stop asking silly question and go into the kitchen."
Subconscious please shut up, even if it's for two minutes.
"I'm here with Toni, Dad, Mum and your friends, so please open the door, we are really worried." Tomi said
FINE!
I stood up, walked to the door and opened it, walked back inside and sat on my bed.
"Toriola Oni pa mi o, tori emi o pa awon bi mi, ma se ba yen lai lai, se o ngbo mi ( Toriola you won't kill me cause I didn't kill my parents, don't do that again,are you hearing me)." My father yelled, walking out of my room, my mother following him behind.
"I'm already late, jeeeez." Toni yelled,. checking her wrist watch, as she waved us goodbye
"Please make sure she takes her bath and get prepared cause in the next two hours she has a meeting with a therapist." Tomi said, leaving Belinda and Melissa In my room.
"Why did you do that, why did you lock yourself up in my room." Belinda said, worriedly
I can see they are are worried about me
But they shouldn't be
And did I just hear Tomi clearly, wait are we still doing that
Why don't she get that I don't need a therapist, is she trying to say I have mental issues.
"TORIOLA!." Melissa screamed
"What, what, why did you scream my name like that."
"Cause you zoned out, for complete ten minutes." Belinda said
"What were you thinking of." Melissa asked but I just Ignored them by turning back staring at my beautiful brown curtain.
Knock knock
"Come in." Melissa said immediately like she knew who was at the door.
"WHY IS HE HERE." I shouted immediately
"Toriola please calm down, listen to me." Belinda said, trying to hold me but I pushed her hands away
"DON'T YOU FUCKING TELL ME TO CALM DOWN." I shouted again, jumping down from my bed as I pushed him away from the door, rushing outside as the three of them ran after me.
"WASIU, WASIU, WASIU! " I shouted his name as my parents came out wondering what was happening.
He rushed out from the gate man post, running to where I was standing.
"Do you know how many times I called you, what we're you doing inside." I asked Wasiu
"I am sorry.......
I cut him off with a resounding slap
What Is wrong with me...
I could see the shock In everyone's face , especially Wasiu, I am sure he was really shocked because it has never happened before.
"Are you listening to me, look at that boy, if I ever see him any where around this vicinity, I will teach you a lesson that day........." I said pointing at Gabriel
"Yes ma." He said, his right hand holding his right cheek.
I ran inside as fast as I could
Tomi was right, i think I need a therapist like right now.
"Toriola what was the meaning of that, don't you know that man is old enough to be your father." My mom said screaming at me
"Toriola I can't believe this, what has come over you." My dad yelled at the top of his voice.
"I don't know why I did that dad, I am sorry dad."
"Shut up, just SHUT UP." My dad said as the tears rushed out from my eyes.
