Prologue and Epilogue

"FREEDOM!"
With arms outstretched, Harry stormed out of the great hall and shouted his heart out with that word. .his friends ran after him, laughing, with the entire seventh year imitating Harry.
"Mr. Potter, do I have to give you detention at the end of your school run? You spoil all my students. "
.The young man turned guiltily. But couldn't quite prevent a grin.
"Excuse me, Director Filch, but I just couldn't help myself."
The former caretaker stood leaning against the entrance to the great hall. .his cat sat on his shoulder and, like her confidante, seemed very amused. Whoever didn't know the man would never have recognized him as Argus Filch, he had changed so much. In a positive sense, however. .earlier he would have yelled at Harry, today he just shook his head in amusement.
"You will be forgiven, after all, these are your last minutes here at the castle."
"At least as a student," Sirius interjected immediately.
.he and his husband looked proud of their son. A lot had changed since they'd pulled themselves together in the leaky cauldron. And her child had gone through an incredible development.

.Harry looked around again too. He knew that he would always be able to visit his fathers, but it was still a strange feeling. In the future he would only enter the school premises as a visitor. .Harry would never return to Hogwarts as a teacher, a healer or any other employee, he knew that. His future lay in ritual magic. .The green-eyed man wanted to perfect this in order to later be allowed to work as a ritual guardian. And he was already on the right path, at least that was what his teacher had attested. .in addition, from now on he would take care of his own seats on the Council. It was time to take his goals to the next phase. Because black magic was still a long way from being recognized.

.A lot had happened in the past few years, not a major catastrophe, but it was enough for Harry to feel.
The biggest change was the appointment of Argus Filch as the new headmaster. .Harry hadn't been there but he could well imagine what Albus Dumbledore had looked like when he was told about this change in the college. .The old man had been firmly convinced that he would rule the school again at some point. His reaction was correspondingly. He had talked about unfaithful faculty and a major conspiracy. .there was talk of injustice and ingratitude. Besides, he was still convinced that Riddle would be back. A few isolated Death Eater attacks also nourished this belief. .Since these attacks were exclusively about attacks on magical beings, to whom luckily nothing had happened, nobody was afraid of a renewed threat from the lord. .many were even of the opinion that these Death Eaters were possibly just former members of the order who still had not understood that the magical beings were taboo.
.Anyway, Dumbledore, the elder, was kicked from school with drums and trumpets, much to the delight of his younger brother. Which became increasingly popular with his students. .no wonder he made no distinction between species, respected students, and gave good lessons. Even if the youngsters still found it strange that he shared a bed or straw with a goat. .they preferred not to think about it too much.

The next surprise had been Fawkes. He had refused to go with Albus. Apparently the firebird no longer wanted to hear from his former confidante. .at first the phoenix wanted to join the new headmaster, but he refused. Filch had his Mrs. Norris and she shouldn't have to share the seat. .so Fawkes had to go looking for a new confidante and he found him, in Severus Snape. Much to his chagrin. But the red bird simply ignored the protests.
.severus then quickly yielded to the inevitable, unlike Sirius. The man had gotten a fit of jealousy and washed himself. .in no case would he accept this immortal Casanova close to his husband. It went so far that you had to shock Sirius because otherwise he would have attacked the poor animal. .it took a long time until the Animagus accepted the new family member.
As it turned out later, Sirius had believed an old fairy tale to be true. .in it it was said that every phoenix could turn into a human in order to look for a partner. With that he would then bring a new generation of firebirds into the world.
.Fortunately, Severus was able to reassure his husband and assure him that this story was just that. .and even if Fawkes could transform into human, Severus would never part with his partner. He loved him too much for that. That settled the argument and Sirius could accept the bird.

.only a few weeks later, however, there had been a huge crash between Harry and Sirius. It had been the first time the green-eyed man had acted like a defiant teenager, and Sirius didn't lose his mind either. .the result was loud slamming of doors, wild shouting and reproaches on both sides. Harry even went so far as to ask Sirius to have a child of his own, then maybe he would finally leave him alone and not be so constrained anymore. .he would have a right to a life of his own and would not let his godfather tell him what to do and what not to do.
Sirius yelled back that he didn't want a replacement for Harry. .a child is not there to make decisions about it but to love it and to prepare it for life. Harry should finally see that and not be so stubborn.
.So it went back and forth for a whole month, no one wanted to give in, and instead of agreeing, the two stubborn heads kept getting lost. Until Severus had enough and he stepped in. .as a result, he too clashed with Harry and for the first time the teacher understood the desperation some teenage parents went through. This stubbornness and refusal to listen bothered the man. .It was much harder to remain calm with one's own child than with pupils. But at some point he managed to get to both the boy and Sirius. .As a result, the two fighters finally spoke out. Albeit with Severus as umpire.
..the quiet that ensued in the castle almost made Filch give Severus extra leave and propose him for some kind of peace order.

.Harry thought of all these scenes with a smile and was glad that Severus had shown so much patience. The green-eyed man had to admit that he had really acted like a monster at times. .In retrospect, he was extremely embarrassed about his behavior, but his friends assured him that they had all done something similar before. All parents would probably go through that. .whereas in the case of the Weasleys it was Percy who had to deal with the adolescent behavior of his siblings.
But still, his school days had been very nice. Not until Severus really stepped into his life, though. .Harry was so incredibly happy to have found his fathers in him and Sirius. He didn't think he could have endured the Dursleys any longer.

"So, ready for the last vacation of your life?"
.Harry looked up and straight into Severus' eyes.
"Hey, dad. Yes, I am. But I already hope that it will not be the last vacation that I will spend with you? "
“Definitely not, you won't get rid of us that quickly. .even if you won't come back here in September. "
"A strange feeling," Harry admitted.
"Every student is like that, you will get used to it," Sirius promised, who also stepped over to them.
"If you say that."
.Harry looked around once more before making his way to the train with his parents.
