Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Chat noir - Rewrite

Chapter 13

Adrien was off his game for days. Ladybug noticed while they were fighting an akumatized villain this one was not as dangerous as some others they faced in the past.

'chat what's wrong?' she asked him concern lacing her voice as she reached out to him but he flinched away from her touch. Ladybug frowned at his reaction growing even more concerned.

'oh ugh, nothing. I'll see you later,' he jumped away before she could respond.

Adrien detransformed and off-handedly gave plagg some cheese not even having the energy to gag at the smell.

'hey kid what's wrong?' plagg flew over to him waving the cheese in front of his nose trying to gain some sort of reaction from the teen.

Adrien sighed, 'it's ladybug she rejected me.'

Plagg grew confused he couldn't understand why Adrian was so sad, 'look just pick a next cheese I mean person whenever I grow said I just look at all my lovely camemberts until I find one that smells extra stink,'

'plagg!' he growled, 'girls aren't cheese. It doesn't work that way,'

'and why not you met that new girl the other day u showed her around y not pick her next,'

Adrien slapped a hand over his face but as he turned in for bed he couldn't help but wonder if he should start thinking about Kagami that way.

'Gabriel, what's wrong?' Natalie came over and stood behind him massaging his shoulders to ease the tension. He couldn't help but relax into it or stop himself from leaning in to her touch and smelling her perfume from where her head rested on his shoulder. They were so close if he opened his eyes and turned his head he could have kissed her...

His eyes flew open he stood up and walked away from the hurt Nathalie. Every time she thought she was breaking through his walls he would pull away. Gabriel began to pace in frustration of his failed attempts to bring his emelie back or the fact he had wondering desires when he had a wife to save and focus on.

'It's been months since the ladybug and cat miraculous appeared and we are no closer to getting them than when we started. ' he yelled.

'let me help you,' Nathalie pleaded, 'let me where the peacock,'

'definitely not are you crazy. It damaged it can kill you,' he said desperately trying to make her understand, ' I wont lose you too promise me you won't use it,'

Nathalie wanted to say she won't, but she loved him too much even as it broke her heart she still wanted to help him fulfil his wish. So she just lied while her mind already spun with a plan to help him.

'hey Kagami,' Adrien called after her one afternoon once fencing was over.

'hey, Adrien what's up?'

'oh well....i ugh- was wondering If you wanted to get some ice cream or something sometime with me?' he blushed

Kagami smirked at his discomfort, 'like a date?' she said knowingly

'wait!what!no! I mean maybe?...if ud like that,'

'I would see you there this afternoon at 4,' she kissed him on the cheek and departed

Plagg peeked out his shirt, 'see new cheese,'

Adrien rolled his eyes.

As Nathalie stood in the lair watching hawkmoths defeat again her stomach turned. She stormed out of the lair and stood in front of the painting of Emelie its steady gaze taunting her, she clenched her fists and sighed reaching for the hidden buttons in it and opening the vault hidden within. she hesitated for a moment before taking the peacock miraculous and transforming into Mayura for the first time. She left the manor to track down the heroes.

She found the two finishing up their battle with an akumatized villain winning once again. She noticed Gabriel in his car parked a few streets over monitoring the situation. She made sure to keep herself to the shadows. She had created an exact replica of ladybug and chat noir in the sewers below, the double amoks left her feeling very faint but she will push on. Her plan was simple they never met her before they knew nothing of her power she was hoping to catch chat noir unaware of the fake ladybug using it to take his miraculous. Then before ladybug could learn of what happened she would make the fake of chat noir take hers.

The duo pounded and split up heading their separate ways. She decided to follow ladybug first.

Ladybug was on her way back to the bakery when she felt a tingling sensation run up her neck as if someone was following her. She turned around seeing chat bound after her, she paused her swinging wondering why he was coming after they said goodbye.

'chat what's wrong?'

'oh oh nothing I just wanted to talk,' he said moving over to her encouraging her to sit beside him.

'chat you seem different,' she frowned

'what do you mean?'

'you were sad earlier you said you didn't want to talk,'

'oh that i'm fine see?' he flashed her a cheeky smile

Ladybug released a relieved breath and leaned her head on his shoulder, 'I was worried things would become weird between us,'

'never,'

Ladybug relaxed back into him when chat moved his hand to her shoulder resting his hand by her neck his claws swimming her ear and she shivered from the sensation.

'chat what are you-' she leapt away from him when felt the slight tug at her earing but his quick reflexes caught her hand before she could go too far.

'what are you doing' she pleaded growing worried

'give me your miraculous or I won't hurt you,' he activated his cataclysm bringing the black mass towards her stomach. Before it could touch her she rolled them straddling chat noir and used her yo-yo to bind his hands above his head. He hissed at her. Ladybug knew this wasn't her chat. This was a fake but she didn't know how that was possible.

The fake chat noir used his cataclysm to disintegrate her yoyo. She got off him in fright not knowing that was even possible. She needed help. She needed master fu.
