Standing at the beginning of the long line of vendors, Jisoo spotted a mask of a rabbit that was calling for her. The genius's mind immediately thought of a way to scare Lisa with it and bought it on a whim.

Although her plans were then sidetracked by her overwhelming hunger, Jisoo chose to attack the meat she smelled from a mile away.

"Meat on a stick! This is the most beautiful creation I've ever seen." She praised it highly to the vendor. Jisoo pulled up her mask to taste the phenomenon but before she could even get a lick, she was pushed forward, dropping the precious item.

Furious, she had no choice but to chase after the jerk who made her drop her chicken. Only once she had started running did Jisoo notice she was running between a group of guards and truthfully she was now trapped in between them.

"Psst!" The one beside her eyed Jisoo, suspicious as to why a Royal guard was in such casual garb.

"What is with your garments?!"

"I'm trying to be more casual. Now inform me why we are running."

"Have you lost your hearing?! The princess is missing and we need to get her back before the Emperor realizes!"

"Does she not know her way back? Why are we so stressed?" Jisoo huffed out air through her mouth. She couldn't believe she lost her chicken over this. "What do I get if I find the princess?"

"A pat on the back for doing your job." Jeongyeon was slowly getting irritated by Jisoo's questions.

"Who said this is my job?" The guard slowed down to carefully look at Jisoo from top to bottom. No wonder she was in such casual attire, she wasn't one of them. Stupid of her to assume just because the latter was easily keeping up with their speed.

"You're just a regular person." Jeongyeon duly noted.

"I would hope so. Is there something that looks irregular about me?" Seeing as Jisoo wasn't a threat, Jeongyeon sighed in relief.

"Please do me a favour and do not inform anyone of what I have told you. We would hate to cause panic among the people." She bowed with her request.

"I have no intention of doing that. Actually, I would even be glad to help." Jisoo smirked, already thinking of something. "That is if I get a reward if I find her first."

"We have been searching for hours. You think you could find the princess before us?' The guard sneered, disliking the sudden arrogance.

"Definitely. On one condition."

"And that is?"

"If I do find her before you, I would like to receive back two of those chicken-stick inventions that one of your clumsy soldiers made me drop." Jisoo demanded with a frown.

"That's...That's it?" Jeongyeon scratched her head in confusion. "You just want some chicken?"

"Yes! Now give me a description of the princess, I'm hungry and would like to get this over with." Shrugging, the guard used the most descriptive language to give Jisoo an image of the princess.

"Alright. That's enough. I'll get back to you on that...."

"Jeongyeon. Yoo Jeongyeon. And your name is?"

Jisoo oddly smiled. No matter how many times she spoke it, the words always sounded foreign in her mouth.

"Sooya. Lee Sooya."

And with that, the soldier was off to search for the lost princess.
