Jisoo laid her arm out for Jennie to rest her head on. They laid in grass, looking up at the clear sky.

"We leave tomorrow." Jisoo informed, not taking her eyes off the sky.

A certain possessiveness came through Jennie. She wanted the General. She wanted to let her know she was hers and no one else's.

She tugged at her armour to get Jisoo's eyes on her.

"What are we now?" Jisoo leaned in to tuck away the stray hair that fell on Jennie's face behind her ear. She laid a gentle kiss on Jennie's forehead as she awaited an answer.

"It had been decided. You were mine the moment I laid my eyes on you. "

"Mine." Jennie snuggled closer into her chest.

Jisoo wished she could stay in this moment forever. Even if she was killed right here in Jennie's hands, she wouldn't have minded.

"A week without seeing you will feel unfamiliar."

"You have gone years without me." Jennie scoffed, elbowing the General in the gut.

"Ouch! Am I being abused by royalty?"

"Keep speaking in that manner, and you will be killed by royalty."

Jisoo curled her arm upwards, pushing Jennie's head towards her.

"And I'll die happily." Jisoo held her gaze without blinking. The younger girl pushed off of her and hurried to stand up.

"We should leave. Nayeon might be looking for me."

"You are awfully eager to get away from me. Mind you, you will not see me after today, your Highness."

"You never know, I might." Jennie gave her a sly smile before running to their horse, which neighed once it saw Jisoo in its sight.

Once again, she climbed and helped the princess up. Jennie allowed herself to tightly embrace the General without shame as her heart fluttered harder each second she felt the heat of the latter against her.

"Good morning, General Kim!" Jisoo and Seulgi bowed diligently to the older and wiser General.

"General Lee. You look quite refreshed this morning." Taehyung smiled sweetly. "The upcoming journey seems brighter already."

"The Emperor is ready! We leave in ten minutes." One of the royal guards informed the three.

"Well, let's get going." They followed behind Taehyung to reach the horses they would be traveling on.

"Sooya had informed me of your suspicions, and I also have much similar intuition. Is there something we should look out for, specifically, General?" Seulgi asked him as she climbed on.

"I'm glad you had asked," Taehyung pulled on the saddle, so his horse would walk closer to them. "If you see a suspicious red cloth anywhere, let me know. It's what is most prominent among their armour."

They noted it in their head and slowly made their way out of the palace. The arrival of the Emperor was announced, and they had turned to pay attention. Only Jisoo's attention seemed to waver to the group of women behind him.
