After breakfast, the boys left to go play Quidditch. Ginny wanted to play, but she was brushed off with the excuse of the teams being uneven ("Having seven people will just throw things off, Ginny," Fred said with a shrug).
"Can we go and walk around the town, Mum?" Ginny asked. Molly glanced up.

"Back before sunset, stay together," she told the girls. Ginny nodded and the three went upstairs.
(Y/n) changed out of her pyjamas and into a tie button-up shirt with a black and white grid pattern and was short-sleeved. She had mom jeans and added a belt, cinching her waist. Hermione had a cute Looney Tunes shirt (from (Y/n)) that was tucked into shorts that were of a similar style to (Y/n)'s top. She added a pink jacket to the outfit. Ginny (with (Y/n) and Hermione's help) had a blue short-sleeved top tucked into black straight-legged jeans.

"Here," (Y/n) said, giving Ginny a pair of her sunglasses. Ginny took them and put them on her head, pushing her hair back. (Y/n) then slipped one of the mixtapes Hermione had gifted (Y/n) into the walkman. She attached the clip to her pants and then put on her shoes. Hermione stood up once she was done tying her Converse.

"Ready?" she asked the two. They both nodded. Ginny slid on the Vans (Y/n) had gotten her for Ginny's birthday. Ginny was always (Y/n)'s favourite person to shop for. The girls skipped downstairs, making sure they had their wands, and with a goodbye to Molly, they went outside. (Y/n) played her walkman, playing air-drums to Girls Just Want to Have Fun.
"How fitting," Hermione mused. (Y/n) grinned at her.

"No kidding," (Y/n) said. Ginny slid her sunglasses down from her head and Hermione already had hers on. For the first time in quite some time, the three felt like regular girls growing up in the 90s. They were in the middle of Don't Stop Believin' when their relative silence was broken.

"We're coming up to the field the boys usually play at," said Ginny. (Y/n) and Hermione smirked at one another.

"Wouldn't hurt to show them how much more fun we're having now that they aren't around, would it?" Hermione said. Ginny, catching on, smirked. (Y/n) raised her sunglasses so that they rested on her head. Hermione gasped as Heaven Is A Place On Earth filled the air. "Even better!" she mused.
(Y/n) walked backwards, singing along as though story-telling to Hermione and Ginny. Halfway through the song, Hermione snatched up (Y/n)'s outstretched hand along with Ginny's. She led them up the rest hill and back down it before they levelled out.

"OOH, BABY, DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT'S WORTH?" Hermione and (Y/n) shouted as they paused. Ginny, who only knew part of the song and therefore could only join in some parts, was still having a blast, deeply amused with Hermione and (Y/n)'s sudden boosts of energy.

"OOH, HEAVEN IS A PLACE ON EARTH!" the three girls sang overdramatically. They had forgotten about making the boys feel left out and instead were focused on their own fun. "THEY SAY IN HEAVEN, LOVE COMES FIRST." Hermione pressed into (Y/n)'s side and (Y/n) tossed her arms around Ginny, who was in front of her, slowing the younger girl. "WE'LL MAKE HEAVEN A PLACE ON EARTH! OOH, HEAVEN IS A PLACE ON EARTH!"
When there was an instrument, (Y/n) played the air drums with her wand in wand hand and nothing in the other. Ginny, who had no prior guitar knowledge, played the air guitar. Hermione simply bopped her head and when the keyboard came in, she played along, wriggling her fingers to each beat.

"What're you doing?" a voice bellowed from above them. They, out of habit, all looked up, instantly regretting the action and needing to cover their eyes.

"Oh... you guys..." Ginny said, not bothering to hide her disappointment. "We should've gone the long way..."

"Come to watch?" Harry asked.

"Maybe some other time," Hermione said dismissively. "We've got important places to be. Having summer affairs isn't going to happen without two people involved."
