Dying sky, dull, hazy, blue,
Shaded by blossoms of wandering hues,
Creeps across the corpse of the day,
Singing out while it knows it can stay.
Its hymns are like whispers but ring out like bells
And echo wherever the evening breeze dwells.
Caressing and kissing you just as I've dreamed
With melodies sweet and harmonies clean,
The song of the nighttime ushers the stars,
The firmament dancing across where you are.
But though the chill brought by the night will sing to you for me
Please feel the warmth of my embrace in its dark melody.
