To Write

Writing- to state it simply-

is letters on a page.

To do it you could be a kid

or you could be a sage.

To most people it's boring;

it's one thing that they hate,

but truth be told it's something that

we should appreciate.

But really- what is writing

to those who love is so;

to those who write iconic books

or scripts for a grand show?

To authors and to poets,

to playwrights near and far

writing is more valuable than

a big expensive car.

A form of self-expression,

or letting go of steam,

the words we write onto a page

are more than what they seem.

Our stories may be different

or boring at first glance,

but things would be much better if

you gave writing a chance.
