SHEHNAAZ'S POV:

A 5-years old girl in cute yellow frock was jumping here and there in house.

"Sana baby!!! Why don't you show me now?" Her mom asked.

"Mommy!! But I want to show dad and you together. Can you wait until then?" 5 years old sana said pouting cutely.

"But mommy wants to see" Mom argued.

"But mommmmyyyy!! I want dad and you to see it together" she replied.

"OK ok!!!!! Daddy's princess" Mom replied.

Doorbell rang and baby sana ran towards the door and tried to open it but was not able to reach the lock.

"Mommy!! Please lift me up. I want to open the door for dad" she requested her mom.

Mom kept the camera aside and lifted her up and after 2-3 trys, she opened the door and jumped in her dad's arms.

"Ddddaaaaaddddd!!!!!!" She screamed.

"Good evening Princess!!!!! I heard my princess got 3 stars today in school." Her dad asked.

"Yes daddy!!! Ma'am gave me 3 stars in school for drawing I made of Mommy, me and daddy." She told as her dad took her inside.

"Woooww!!! Then run fast and bring it to show it to me." Dad asked her.

She ran as fast as she could and brought the drawing.

"Dad !!!!! I want you and mom to see it together" she demanded. They sat together and she excitedly showed them her drawing.

"Wow Princess!!!! This is super beautiful and since you got 3 stars so today we will go out in a restaurant to eat pizza." Dad told her excitedly.

"PIZZZZZZAAA!!!!! I love you daddy" She screamed and kissed her daddy's cheeks.

"But before that let's click your picture with this lovely drawing." Dad told.

A drop of tear escaped from my eye as I saw this video on my laptop.

So basically, I was working on my laptop and was finding my resume but instead found this video of my childhood.

How much things change as we grow up. When I was smaller, my smallest achievement was celebrated. But now......
I sighed.

Tring tring tring tring........

My phone rang and I picked up without seeing who was calling.

"Hello, who is there?" I asked.

"Who is there!!!!! Who is there!!!! You are asking me that!!! Ms. Shehnaaz Singh." The caller yelled in sarcasm.

"OK ok!!!!! I am sorry! I didn't see the caller's name, Srishti" I replied.

Srishti is my friend since last 1 year. I met her first time in a mall accidentally and second time, we met in a party of my father's friend. And we got to know that my father and her father-in-law are bestfriend. Yes, she is married and is much elder than me.

"You are sorry for that only??" She asked.

"Yes, what else should I be sorry for?" I questioned her.

"Ms. Shehnaaz Singh! You have forgotten our plan of meeting today in the mall for shopping."

"Oh my god!!!!! I am sorry! Like literally sorry! I genuinely forgot about that." I tried to persuade her.

"You better give me a genuine reason for ditching me." She said.

"Actually, there were a lot of things going on in the house since last 3-4 days so I totally forgot about our plan." I told her.

"Shehnaaz, I know there is something serious going on because you sound super dull plus the Shehnaaz I know won't ever forget about our shopping plan." She said.

"Srishti!! I ..... got.... internship in US but my dad has totally rejected the idea of going there." I told her sobbing.

"What? But why?" She asked shocked.

"Because a marriage proposal from a very good family has come for me."

"What? When did this happened? Tell me in detail." She said.

Flashback:

"This is their son Aditya Khurana." Dad introduced us.

"Oh god!! You have a pretty daughter." Mrs. Khurana said as I sat next to mom and dad.

"So Mr. Singh !! Look we like your daughter and we elders have already discussed everything. So, now let the children talk to each other." Mr. Khurana said.

"Yes!!! Of course!!! Shehnaaz take Aditya to your room." Dad said.

I obeyed and took Aditya the guy in my room.

I sat on my bed and asked Aditya to sit on chair near bed.

"So, Mr. Aditya Khurana what do you expect from me after marriage?" I asked.

"Wooohhh!!! Quite bold!! Looking at you in the hall, I felt like you are just another shy and silent girl." He replied.

"Mr. Khurana! You didn't answer my questions?"

"Ms. Singh! don't you know these things?? Isn't that a very stupid question. Of course! I expect you to be a ideal housewife. Make breakfast, lunch and dinner for the whole family, Stay at home, Clean the house and take care of my mom and dad." He replied casually.

"Then why don't you hire a maid for that?" I questioned him.

"A maid can't give a heir to the family" he said rolling his eyes.

"Wow!!! Nice thinking." I said in sarcasm.

"But this is a very common thinking but since you liked it. I am okay." He replied. This fool didn't even get my sarcasm. Great.

"So Ms. Singh!! Other than being beautiful tell me more..."

" I think we should go downstairs." I interrupted him.

Flashback ends

"Then, when we went downstairs, his parents asked us about what do we think about each other. He said he liked me. My dad was immediately ready to accept the proposal but I interrupted him and said that I need sometime." I told her everything.

"Shehnaaz!!! What a fool your dad has selected for you." Srishti started laughing at my miserable situation.

"Srishti you know what, in next 7 hours I have a date with this fool." I said getting irritated.

"Shehnaaz!!! Imagine yourself marrying this fool." She again started laughing.

"Srishti! don't irritate me more. Bye!! I also need atleast 4 hours sleep before meeting that fool. Bye!!" I said and cut the phone and went to sleep.

After 5 hours, I woke up and went downstairs to see my mom and dad discussing something. I ignored them and went in kitchen to drink water.

When I was leaving the kitchen,

"Shehnaaz!!!!!!" My dad called me.

"Dad before you remind me again, I know that I have to go on the date with that fool." I said and went in my room.

Mom came in room after me but what I heard next shocked me to the core.

"Shehnaaz!!! Actually your dad was saying, you don't need to go on the date with Aaditya."

What happened suddenly???

How will shehnaaz react??
