Chapter 4: King with Two Crowns

Outskirts of Wellston:

Easton, 12:37 AM

"Okay John, here's what we found from the vans navigation system. Follow the directions we are sending to the GPS and that should lead you to where Volcan was last" Adrion told John.

"Sounds good" John agreed.

"Although we can't tell exactly where Blyke and Remi are, its our best ,and only, shot" Isen said, hopingly.

"Anything else I should know before I start this thing up?" John asked.

"Yeah, once inside wherever this GPS takes you, look for a computer or console to plug the USB into so we can try and find out if Blyke and Remi are in the system" Isen added.

With that John started up the engine of the van and began driving to the designated location, periodically looking into the back to make sure Volcan hadn't moved. After driving for awhile, John noticed something strange about where he was being directed. It appeared as though he was going to end up in the middle of nowhere, some green field past the outskirts of Wellston.

"Are you guys sure that this is leading me to the right area? The GPS is telling me that I'm driving into the abyss" John questioned.

"Don't worry, Isen and I have been talking on a separate call and we have reasoned that the location you are going to is probably not registered on any mapping data we have access to" Adrion answered.

"However, we also agreed that this is what's concerning about who we are involved with. We aren't dealing with some casual vigilante hunters, these people may be involved with a high level organization, or... the authorities themselves" concluded Isen.

This was a lot of information that Isen and Adrion were laying on John as he was driving himself to an undisclosed location that may be involved with the people he hates the most, the authorities. John realized that it was probably Adrion's idea to not involve him in the conversation because of this possibility, given problem with the hierarchy and past arrest. He began to arrive at the destination, the GPS still showing a green field, but what was in reality betrayed what it showed.

John put the van in park a good distance away from the facility he was now staring at in disbelief. He expected there to be something, but a place to this scale was unpredictable. The all black facility looked like a stronghold mixed with a prison, what concerned John was the lack of security and presence of anyone at all.

'Somethings off, its like they are trying to bait people in by showing the illusion that the place is empty' John thought.

"Somethings wrong here, from this distance it looks as though the place is empty. I think it could be bait" John mentioned.

"We can't see anything right now but what are you thinking" Isen asked.

"I'll make it quick. Once I plug you two in find them if they're here or find where they are. I don't want to get cornered in this place, it looks like a prison. I'll contact you both when I find a terminal" John delcared.

John turned off the receiver on the ear piece and got back into the van and put it in drive, making his way to the facility, parking in the lot when he arrived. He knew it was risky, but he decided that he would make his escape through the front. He checked Volcan one last time, seeing that she was still knocked out, and left the van for the building.

Once along a side wall he found a single access door that looked like it was probably only opened for maintenance. Walking up to it he naturally tried the knob seeing that there was no key whole and that it was only openable from the inside, so he chose to break it. Using the strength from his abilities he brought his empowered fist down upon the handle, breaking it, and opening the door.
