Moments After Contact in Rowden

---------------------------------------------------------

Kayden teleported both himself and Seraphina back to the facility run by Spectre to avoid further confrontation with John and Arlo. Their mission failed, their equipment was destroyed, and several fighters had been most likely taken into custody, the price which had to be paid to escape.

Once the teleportation was complete Seraphina shook Kayden's hand off her shoulder and began to walk away without any of the concern she showed for him earlier. The only thoughts she had in her mind right now were how she bit off her nose despite her face when arguing with John.

'Great job Seraphina' she belittled herself in her mind. 'You've managed to one-up Claire and actually betray him this time' she continued.

'But what choice did I have... If I didn't pretend to care about Kayden like that, the organization would have suspected me to be collating against them!' Seraphina thought to herself.

'I managed to stab myself with a double edged sword... I have no idea if John will ever look at me again, but certainly earned the trust of these shady people' she concluded.

"Hey Sera! A little help over here?" Kayden called to her.

She looked back at him, disgust evident across her face.

"Don't call me that." She commanded.

Now scared and confused, Kayden backed down. He knew just how powerful Seraphina was and that she was obviously upset about what just happened, yet he couldn't help but feel led on and used. Little did he know that was exactly what he should be feeling.

Seraphina looked away from him, not caring, and walked away in deep thought about what her next move should be, as of right now, she had only her sister as an ally, no friends after that last encounter, and finally no John. Her greatest, and most costly loss.

Rowden:

Hotel, 6:45 PM

Arlo was sitting in his Room, resting and thinking about the day that he just went through. Suddenly he heard a knock at his door which brought him out of his thoughts.

'Who could that be... John maybe?' Arlo thought as he approached the door.

Opening the door he was met with the one and only red head, Blyke.

"Blyke. What brings you here?" Arlo opened up a conversation.

"I need some advice. Can I come in?" Blyke followed up.

Stepping to the side, Arlo opened the room for Blyke to enter. Taking no time, he came in and took a seat at the table in the main room. Following him, Arlo took the seat opposite of him, giving off an inquisitive look, gesturing for him to ask away.

"I'll get straight to the point... Train me" Blyke came right out.

Taken aback, Arlo did not answer right away, but had to find out why Blyke suddenly wanted to learn from him.

"And why would you need this training... I hope it would not be to challenge John again" Arlo stared Blyke down.

Nervous from the look Arlo was giving him, Blyke decided to keep going and just tell him everything.
