Riley POV
Life is great. Everything is great. My date with Lucas last night was great. These were my thoughts when I woke up this morning. Yayyyyy. I leap out of bed and put on some jeans and a shirt. Life is great. I walk into the kitchen.
"Hi mother, whom I love and cherish. Hi father, my dearest teacher." I say with a happy sigh. My parents look at each other.
"What is happening?" Whispers my dad. Then the speaker box rings.
"Maya." I walk over and give her an extra long buzz, because I am feeling happy. Soon the door opens. In comes a suspicious Maya.
"You gave me a long buzz. What's up?" She says.
"Life is grrrreat!" I squeal. Maya rolls her eyes.
"Yeah, yeah. Lets go. Later Matthews." She is already out the door. I skip out. Did I mention life is great?
Maya POV
I just don't understand Rileys excitement. Why bother with boys when they will eventually leave you? I swear if Lucas hurts Riley..I push that thought out of my mind. As me and Riles walk to school I think about last night. So much happened. Josh got rejected because of three years, Riley and Lucas kissed, and Farkle made out with my hand. Riley sighs.
"I hope life is always is great." She gushes. I frown. I know it won't be. I don't ant to hurt her so I say "Yeah ok." We walk in silence.
"You need a guy too Maya." Riley suddenly says. "A prince charming." I sigh.
"Sorry Riles, but you know I don't believe in happy endings." No matter how many times I tell her, she always brings it up again.
"You should. Someday, your Lucas will come." She sighs happily and looks off into space. We walk to our lockers. I grab my books. Lucas comes over.
"H-hey.." Says Riley, all red.
"Hey." He grins and nods at me. "Madam."
"Cowboy." I say tipping in imaginary hat. I walk into class and Riley and Lucas follow. I can hear them talking and Riley awkwardly giggling. I sigh. This is going to be a looong class.
