Maya POV
I was at home the next day, watching Netflix of course. My phone was lighting up with texts from Lucas and Riley. I didn't plan on answering either. After a while Riley gives up but Lucas keeps at it. I sigh. I might as well.
M: what.
L: I didn't mean it the way I said it the other day
M: of course u didn't. U just said u didn't like me, after u did..it. I hope life urns out great without me in it.
L: dont say tht please.
M: well next time try not to be such a..
L: a what?
M: whatever. Enjoy life.. or don't I couldn't care less.
L: Maya..
I don't respond. I had enough. I decide to at least see Riley was saying.
R: hey Maya I'm really sorry. It wasn't fair of me to be like that.
4:03 pm
R: can u answer me please? I'm really sorry.
4:30 pm
R: I guess I deserve this. Please please answer Maya..
I decide not to answer her. I put my phone down. I walk into town, and go to the park. At least there I would have some peace. I leave a note for my mom, which she most likely won't get since she's at work 24/7. I grab a jacket and leave. The park is oddly quiet, and I purposely avoid the place where the kiss occurred. I walk to a bench that overlooked a pretty lake. Luckily I had brought my sketch pad and my colored pencils, so I sketch the sun setting over the lake.
"That's really pretty." I hear someone say behind me.
