Chapter 8 Anti-Entropy

Within the limited amount of time, they couldn't find Wendy again and the S-Rank Valkyrie is arriving. They were already hearing explosions nearby.

"We're out of time. We should abandon the search." Soo-jin said

"Soo-jin's right. The S-Rank Valkyrie is arriving in two minutes along with Anti-Entropy." Himeko said

"Don't worry about S-Rank Valkyrie or Anti-Entropy." Theresa said

"Did you manage to stall the S-Rank Valkyrie?" Mei asked

"No. I can't do that, but I know where she is." Theresa said

"Could that mean... What?" Kiana asked

"That's right. I aired the S-Rank's position on a public channel. I'm sure Anti-Entropy intercepted my message. They probably went off course to intercept the Valkyrie." Theresa said

"So that's what the explosions are." Kiana said

"Selling out one of our own doesn't feel so good, but she'll be okay. I hope Anti-Entropy gave us more time." Theresa said

"All right! It's our turn now!" Kiana said

They continue the search while fighting against some beasts on the way to find Wendy.

It started raining and they arrive at a flower field where they found Wendy again.

"You four just don't know when to give up. I'll have to teach you a lesson!" Wendy said

"Hey! That's my line!" Kiana said

"Wendy, please trust us. You're not yourself. The Honkai is misleading you." Mei said

"Trust you all? The guy beside you tried to kill me earlier! You hypocrites!" Wendy said

"I did what should be done." Soo-jin said

"Wait, subject Kiana. Subject Mei and subject Soo-jin. The Bronya wants to talk to Wendy." Bronya said

"No! Stop! I don't want to talk with you, Bronya!" Wendy said

"The Bronya remembered a younger sister named Seele back in the orphanage. Subject Wendy reminds me of her. Seele was strong and kind, just like subject Wendy. Seele got corrupted by the Honkai, but fought hard and got herself back. The Bronya endured a lot of pain during the modifications and still suffers to this day. But there is hope. The Bronya understands subject Wendy's pain. The Bronya knows subject Wendy can overcome this pain. Don't give up. The Bronya believes in you." Bronya said

"I... I trust you too, Bronya." Wendy said

"... Well, that was unexpectedly fast." Soo-jin stared at them with a surprised look on his face

"I trust all of you, but I can't bring myself to trust that guy..." Wendy said

"I understand. Do as you please." Soo-jin said

"Alright. I'll give myself another chance." Wendy said

"Great! Wendy came back to us." Mei said

"Phew. That was really close." Kiana said

"Now that we're done here, let's head back to the Hyperion." Soo-jin said

Suddenly, on their way back, Bronya switches her robot into attack mode and sets Wendy as her target. The robot attacks Wendy and she had a shocked looked on her face.

"Stop! Bronya! What are you doing?!" Kiana asked

"Bronya, why did you attack me?" Wendy asked

Soo-jin grabs the hilt of his sword, seeing the shocked yet mad expression on Wendy's face.

"Everything you told me was a lie, was it? No... one. There's no one I can trust..." Wendy said, going back into her Herrscher from

Wendy sent a strong gust of wind toward Kiana and Bronya. And before the strong gust of wind could reach them, both of them evades it.

Three windblades were sent towards Mei, one of those hit her while she dodged the others.

Four tornadoes were sent at Soo-jin and it chased him. Soo-jin ran away from the tornadoes while avoiding his teammates, so they wouldn't get caught up in the chase.

"Many things could happen under a minute. I thought I'd use on my Herrscher powers and rely on my teammates to stop me, but I'll just trust ourselves that we can fight her." Soo-jin said

Soo-jin charged at Wendy. Soo-jin jumped towards her, ready to cut her again, but she flew away from him this time again.

The four small tornadoes caught up to Soo-jin and started lifting him while pulling his limbs.

"Soo-jin!" Kiana shouted

"I... don't need the powers of a Herrscher!" Soo-jin shouted, slicing all of the tornadoes, causing them to dissipate

"H... He sliced it..." Mei said

Wind blades were sent at Soo-jin and and he kept slicing them. Kiana followed Soo-jin from behind while he protects her from the wind blade and Bronya supports them from the side.

"Kiana!" Soo-jin said

"Yeah!" Kiana said

Soo-jin sliced one last wind blade between him and Wendy and Kiana jumped towards Wendy. Kiana kicks Wendy and Mei from behind follows up with a couple more slashes.

Wendy blew them all away from her and backed off.

"You are all tenacious!" Wendy said

"Ha! Tenacious is my middle name! I could do this all day if I wanted to!" Kiana said

All of a sudden, they were surrounded by something.

"What a pity.... I've got no time for you. All tactical mechas, invisible mode: off. Target: Fifth Herrscher."

Wendy was shot down and in one shot, she fell, shocking all of them.

"No way! One hit and the Fifth Herrscher went down!" Mei said

"That new tactical mecha is something else! Well, I have to thank you all for wearing her down first. Oh, right! Almost forgot, there's other Herrschers there!"

"Bronya, my daughter. Supreme authority command: Capture the Third and Fourth Herrschers."

"Yes, Mother." Bronya said

"Mei! Bronya! Soo-jin!" Kiana was cut off by Mei falling to the ground

"Raiden Mei has been apprehended. Two more targets remain." Bronya said

Soo-jin puts Kiana behind him and holds his sword

"Schicksal troops detected. Approaching." Bronya said

"Hmph. Guess you guys got lucky this time. All troops, retreat!"

"Hey! Where are you taking-" Soo-jin was shot down

Bronya took Mei and Soo-jin tried to get her, but he was shot down and he fell while the Anti-Entropy mechas disappeared.

Bronya still attempted to take Soo-jin, but Kiana protectively got on top of Soo-jin, to not let Bronya take Soo-jin away.

"Retreating." Bronya said

Bronya disappeared, leaving Soo-jin and Kiana alone.
