Chapter 30 Failed Test

Soo-jin was sitting on the back of a helicopter and he could see the view of a whole city while they headed towards a skyscraper owned by Abydos, a research company which is a partner of World Serpent.

"This is a pretty big city for a test. But it's isolated in an island, so even if I were contaminate the water with Honkai Energy, only the whole island would be affected." Soo-jin said

"This island is pretty close to the Philippines, just directly above it. What Honkai Eruption was it again? The most disastrous one in South-East Asia." Soo-jin asked

"The Manila Honkai Eruption." The pilot said

"Ah, that's right, the Manila Honkai Eruption wherein millions of lives were lost." Soo-jin said

"We have arrived."

The helicopter lands on the helipad where a woman with light pink hair waited at the door. Soo-jin opens the door and got down.

Elysia reincarnation. I just hope they really don't make an Elysia reincarnation, though if they did, I'm just gonna pretend it's a twin, so this Elysia will have a different name.

"It's truly an honor to meet you, the only Herrscher who supports Project STIGMA, Herrscher of Extremity."

"My name is Calliope, the Head Scientist of Abydos' Research laboratory in the Far East." Calliope said

"I'm Hwang Soo-jin. Nice to meet you." Soo-jin said

"To think I'd really get to see a Herrscher up close is making me feel like I'm dreaming." Calliope said

"Regardless, would you like something to eat or drink? Maybe a rest from an exhausting trip? I can ask my assistants to prepare them for you." Calliope asked

"No, nothing really. Let's just head on for the bomb." Soo-jin said

Soo-jin and Calliope enter the skyscraper and there was a huge lounge.

Calliope walks to a painting of a hand. She puts her finger on the fingers in the painting and a door opens.

"Woah, it's like one of those from the movies." Soo-jin said

"This painting is also a fingerprint scanner of a door that leads us to a secret elevator in the room. The elevator also brings us to the bottommost laboratory in the building where World Serpent activities are done." Calliope said

The two of them enter the elevator which brought them to a place underneath the building's two basements. They walk out of the elevator and a huge ball.

"This is a bomb similar to the one in Arc City." Calliope said

"Then, it has something similar to an EOS engine." Soo-jin said

"Yes, that's right. But I trust you that the thing you did in Arc City won't happen again. I know you didn't do it, but you still helped." Calliope said

"Well, I didn't know anything about Project STIGMA that time." Soo-jin said

"It'll take at least twenty-eight more hours before I can finally complete this bomb. Until then, you are free to do as you please that won't halt the a test of Project STIGMA." Calliope said

"Okay~" Soo-jin said

Calliope went inside a room with the bomb while Soo-jin watches outside through a glass wall.

Soo-jin was eating a slice of pizza covered in hot sauce and he suddenly sneezed.

"Have you caught a cold?" Calliope asked

"No, I'm alright. Probably something got into my nose while we were outside." Soojin said

"That's terrible, but it must've gotten out of the nose now from the sneeze." Calliope said
