Chapter 5: Vague

(Y/n) patched Rindo's wounds up as gentle as she could while the others were trying to ‘exorcist’ Sanzu who was still under the influence of his drugs.

(Y/n) still couldn't get over that her hands were still cold as ice.

Rindo placed his fine hand on her shoulder making her jolt from his touch. “W-What?” She stammered.

She was tense and her breathing was shaky. Rindo felt guilty that he wanted to punch Sanzu but he just had to remain calm.

“You're tense.” Rindo said, withdrawing his hand, placing it on the mattress.

“O-Oh I—”

Before she could continue, Koko placed a water in front of her making her take the water then she gulped it down.

“Sorry about Sanzu. He just sleepwalks a lot at night after taking his pills. Don't worry, that won't happen again.” Koko reassured.

“Yeah.” She nodded.

That won't happen again.

Or so she thought.

“AHH!!” She screamed, running as fast as she could from Sanzu. Five nights has passed and every night Sanzu would roam around and would spot her in the kitchen. Sometimes he would infiltrate her room.

This time she had it. She had enough of Sanzu and the mansion! She wasn't going to get killed by a random terrorist or assassin, she was going to get killed inside the mansion and Sanzu will be the death of her.

“What's going on?” Ran asked rubbing his eyes then he saw her running in the mansion with Sanzu tailing her.

“(Y/n)-chan!” Ran ran towards Sanzu with his baton in his hand, ready to knock the pink haired out when she barged out of the door.

The others were now chasing her and Sanzu. They were ready to capture Sanzu and ‘exorcist’ him again.

She was near the big gate she turned to look behind her. Sanzu was already feet close to her. She screamed again about to run when she stumbled on her own feet.

“Ah!” She yelped.

Sanzu laughed like a maniac. He was about to lunge at her with a fork in his hand when Ran and Mochi grabbed him before he could.

Cursing her feet. She slowly stood up then she continued to run.

“(Y/n)-chan! Koko called about to run after her but a hand was placed on his shoulder.

She tried to pull the gates but it was lock. Tears streamed down her face. She was sobbing so hard. Her heart rammed inside her chest.

“I have to escape.. I have to go..” She mumbled under her breath. She flinched when a hand was placed on her shoulder. She scrambled away, afraid what the person might do to her.

“Don't touch me!” She panted like crazy. Rindo's eyes widened then he clenched his fist, glancing at Sanzu then he turned to her once again.

“I'm not going to—”

“You've said that a lot of times! Sanzu has been killing me for how many times! It doesn't make any difference at all! I'll die here and I'll die outside! Just..” She bit her bottom lips, choking back a sob. “Just let me live in peace.” She whimpered, burying her face in her palm as she cried.

Rindo walked towards her then he wrapped his hand around her wrist making her gasp. She was tense for a moment. She lifted her face from her palm, looking at Rindo with her eyes widening in fear.

“I won't let that happen again. This time.” He paused momentarily. Looking into her teary (e/c) eyes. “I'll protect you.” He added

Soft snores came from her mouth as she slept on Rindo's bed. Rindo decided that she would sleep with him until the men and especially Sanzu are out of the mansion.

She was against it but since Rindo was stubborn she couldn't do anything about it. It was better than getting infiltrated by Sanzu.

While she was on Rindo's bed, Rindo decided to sleep on the couch in the meantime. He couldn't sleep since he didn't know when Sanzu would barge in his room. If he ever does it.

“I like you too..mm” She murmured in her sleep making Rindo glance at her.

He remembered those words back at the riverbank. When she confessed to him while she was under the influence of the alcohol.

A wistful smile formed on his lips. He looked at the ceiling then he let out a sigh, closing his eyes.

“Her memories..”  Daichi started. The meeting just ended and the both of them were left inside. “After the incident, she couldn't remember us but she was looking for a certain boy and when she saw Hakkai, she was convince that it was him. That Hakkai was you.”

“Why are you telling me this?” Rindo monotonously asked. “What happened doesn't concern me. I'm not planning to ruin her married life. You gave us a task and we're doing it and we're doing this for the money and the weapons not her. End of conversation.” Rindo coldly dismissed before leaving the room.

He opened his eyes, then he turned to the side, gazing at your figure.

He wanted to hold her in his arms. He wanted to sleep beside her. How would his life be if he's with her. If he wasn't only a delinquent then maybe the two of them would have a peaceful life but wishing for it is impossible. It was too late.

She woke up only to be greeted by the sun's rays. She shut her eyes tight then she rolled to the side. She opened her eyes and saw Rindo on the couch. He was still asleep.

She slowly sat up, rubbing her eyes then she went out of the bed.

She looked at the time that was on the bedside table. It read 7:59 a.m. She turned to Rindo then she approached his sleeping figure.

She crouched down about to wake Rindo up when she saw Rindo's burgundy streaks on his face. She was about to push it to the side when—

A vague vision flashed in her mind. A guy with his head on the table, his blonde and blue streak hair on his face. She saw this vision before. The morning after her wedding when she was with Hakkai.

While she was lost in her thoughts, her hand was grabbed then before she knew it, she was pinned on the bed with Rindo on top of her. His hand was wrapped around her neck and his other hand was on her hand.
