HAPPY 7TH ANNIVERSARY, HONEY!

"Don't be too noisy, Omorfia, and Arketa ha? Daddy Sol will be here any minute naaa~" Sabi ko sa aso at pusa na anak namin ni Sol habang inaayos ayos ko ang kanilang mga dress. Both me and Sol usually dress them up kapag may mga special occassions, pero this one's not like the others. 

I both kissed them on their heads before ko inayos ko sarili ko for the last time sa salamin. I took two deep breaths. This isn't new, oo. . Pero the thought na kami lang dalawa ang mag ce-celebrate ng anniversary namin today hits different!

My eyes suddenly widened when I heard footsteps, "He's heeeere!" I giggled as I took the cake from the table. As the door knob turned, and the door was pushed opened, with no second thoughts I greeted the man of my life a "Happy seventh anniversary, Honey!" YES! You heard it right! It's our seventh anniversary!

SFX: Dog barks*
SFX: Cat purrs*

His face looked so tired, suot suot niya pa rin ang blue-cloth surgical cap and mask, galing sa OJT. Ang bilis niyang nakalapit sa akin para halikan ako sa nuo. "Happy anniversaryyyy!" I placed the cake down so we could give each other a hug. "I missed youuuu!" He added.

Both me and Sol are soft spoken, kaya sa iba, parang hindi masyado exciting kung kami lang dalawa ang mag ce-celebrate ng birthdays. But for me, it means a lot to me. For him, my short-and concise words, and my soft voice are more than enough.

Match made in heaven.

"May dala akong ice creams and cake. Kain muna tayo? " Tanong niya, halatang halata na kilig na kilig. Just by starring sa kaniyang mga singkit na mata, makikita mo ang ligaya. 
"Sure."

Both me and him sliced the cake and gave our babies some. Syempre, since bawal si Omorfia ng chocolates, I bought a vanilla one instead. 

"Seryoso ka ba talaga with the lights? Red and konting white?" Sol suddenly questioned.

"Oo, sweet kaya tignan." I answered as I sat on a chair. 
"Bakit? Masakit ba sa mata? I can change the LED lights if ayaw mo."

"No no, it's okay." Sol laughed softly, leaving me clueless of what he thinks about the lights. Napapangitan ata siya? For 7 years, never ko namang narinig siyang nag reklamo about hating the colour red.

Oh well, let's just shrug it off. He'll tell me naman what's wrong, when he tells me.

Before ending the day, we danced at the balcony, talked about how our day was, reminiscing our past. What was troubling us, you know, what a usual couple would do. 

"I love you." He uttered, as he let go of the hug, I felt like something was danggling around my neck.

"A necklace?"

"La luna." 

"You shouldn't have!" I laughed softly as I smacked his right arm. He knows how much I love the stars and the moon. Siya naman, he loves the clouds, and the sun. 

"I love you to the moon and back." He took both of my hands and kissed my left palm. 
"I love you so much that it hurts."

"I love you too, so bad." It felt like I was swollowing a lot of thorns on my throat. 
"Parang kahapon lang nangyari 'yong galit na galit ka sa akin dahil takot ka baka kukunin ko ang negosyo ng dad mo." 

"Seriously? 'Yan nanaman na topic for today?" He sophisticatedly rolled his eyeballs and lent out a sigh, 
"Look, I got insecure of you dahil lagi nalang ikaw ang pinaguusapan ng mom at dad ko sa lamesa sa tuwing fuma- Family dinner kami."

I laughed softly,  "Chill bro, I wasn't asking for an explanation kung ba't from head to toe mo ako ayaw! All I'm saying is. . Parang kahapon lang tayo sige sabi ng "I don't want to see you here ever again!", tapos ngayon, halos magkadikit na mga bituka natin. Tinadtad mo pa chat natin ng I miss you's!" I shoved my phone up to his face, 
"Can't get enough of me, huh?" 

Ginulo niya buhok ko, "I can't believe ikaw ang mapapangasawa ko someday!" he laughed. 
"Ang dami mong naaalala!"

"Oo! Naalala ko pa nga no'ng pa'no mo iniwan si Francesca--" I was about to finish what I was saying but he suddenly cut me off.

"I had to. She almost ruined my life." Francesca was his first ex-girlfriend, and one of my friends. And yes, she was such a trouble maker. But that was the time no'ng immature pa sila. But oh well, everything happens for a reason.

It started raining cats and dogs, kaya both me and him went inside para makaligo at makapagpahinga na rin. 
"Mall tayo bukas?" Tanong niya sa akin.

"Mag ano naman tayo do'n?"

"Wala lang, mag tingin tingin, kain kain." 

"Dalahin mo sila Fia at Ark?" Hindi kasi puwede naming iiwan ang mga anak namin, syempre. Walang babantay sa kanila dito.

"Oo, bumili na rin ako ng bagong leash and cages para sa kanila."

I shrugged my shoulders, "Oh, sounds good to me."

For me, this is what a relationship is. Chill chill lang, walang nagmamadali. Yes, nahuhulog din kami sa mga problems. We do quarrel a lot, most especially, siya, a hot headed person. He's a chaotic man, but as they say, when there's chaos, there's beauty. That's why he has me in his life, ako ang beauty dejok charet lang.
He's not just a chaotic person. . But he's also caring, soft-hearted, understanding; and that's the beauty within him.

I'm so deep in love with a CEO, and a soon to be Doctor.
