Such a headache

"Sigurado ka bang okay lang talaga mag stay ka muna dito?" I asked. Sol nodded sabay sa pag abot niya sa akin ng hot choco na nasa mug. 

"I told Yjie to go home para ako na muna mag alaga sa iyo." 

"Okay naman ako." I interrupted. 
"It's just that, mabigat lang talaga ang katawan ko."

"O kaya nga, mag pahinga ka muna habang andito ka pa sa hospital." 

I tilted my head habang nakatitig sa mug, "Sol, be honest with me."

Sol responded me with silence.

"Wala ka bang nararamdaman for your assistant, Alexa?" 

"None at all. Natatakot ka ba sa kaniya? If so, I can just tell her to move to another company--" 

"No need." Pag pigil ko kay Sol. 
"That'd be unprofessional naman of you, hon." Sabi ko sabay sa pag hawak sa kaniyang kamay. 
"Sa ngayon, gusto ko lang naman isort ang mga nasa isip ko. I just want to know sa ngayon kung ano bang nangyayari between sa inyo? Mga posts niya sa social media, ano ba'ng ibig sabihin ng mga non?"

"About the posts, before ko man 'yon nakita, she deleted all of it." Sol responded to me without pausing to consider his words.
"The part that upset me the most was when she said she liked me."

"Ah, so gusto ka niya. Aware ka rin? Since when?" 

"Bago bago lang. I'm attempting to maintain as much distance as possible because I don't want things to get ambiguous between us."

"Ah, okay." Try to focus, Via. Try to focus. Don't give him the wrong vibes. Don't let him misunderstand you. Please try to act natural. Normal lang naman magkakagusto mga ibang tao sa kaniya, ano ba'ng magagawa mo?

"I know there are a lot of things going on around you, hindi mo lang sinasabi." Sol shifted his hand to hold mine. 
"Honey, it's okay. You can have all the spaces you want if that makes you comfortable and happy." He took my hand and placed it on his cheek,"I'll always be right here. If you can't tell me everything now, that's fine. Just throw out some words, or phrases, and then let's puzzle them once we figure everything out.  Solving a problem isn't that easy, Via. It takes time to analyze and understand the situation, and it takes the right amount of time for you to give the right and accurate solution for it." Binaba niya ang tingin niya sabay sa pag sara ng mga mata niya for him to feel my touch on his cheek.

I caressed his cheek, "Stay with me. . . Is that a promise?" 

He nodded, "Promise." He looked up to me with a smile, 
"Now can we drink our hot choco? Nag effort akong gumawa niyan." He pouted.

It everything went clear to me. His feelings never changed. The way he talks, the way he treats me, lahat lahat, walang bumago.

Until, after our short movie marathon ended, both me and Sol decided to sleep early since alam niyang masama ang pakiramdam ko. 

As he turned off the lights, he picked up Arketa from the ground para tumabi sa kaniya, "I'll visit Omorfia tomorrow, let's rest nalang muna for now." 

"Pero hindi ka na ba papalit ng damit? Umuwi ka nalang kaya muna?"

"Bukas na. Walang babantay sa iyo dito." Aminado ako dahil sa sinabi niya, kinilig ako kaya napatabon ako sa mukha ko gamit ng unan ng ospital. 

"Naks, kinikilig pa pala ang honey ko? Akala ko nag manhid na dahil sawang sawa na sa face ng boyfriend niya." Sabi ni Sol habang lumalakad papunta sa kaniyang kama.

I rolled my eyes, "Ang OA mo. Good night. Good night, Arketaaa." 

Sol placed Arketa beside him, and turned his back to face me, "Andito lang ako." He repeated what he kept saying kani kanina pa. 

I nodded, "Thank you." Arketa, isa ring selosa sa amin, kept meowing, stealing Sol's attention. I can't blame her, miss niya na rin kasi ang dad niya. So Sol had to turn his back to face Arketa. I turned my back as well, facing my side and tried to shut my eyes.

I was half asleep, no, siguro tulog na nga talaga ako.  I couldn't sleep properly because I kept on thinking about Omorfia. Pero nagising nalang ako when Sol was talking to someone on his phone, 
"Pero andito ako sa ospital! You can't be kidding right now, it's still 5 in the morning."

5? It's already five in the morning? Ah, so talagang nakatulog nga ako pero hindi nga lang maayos. 

"Why not let Joshua do it? Jesus, Alexandra! You're such a headache! Oo na, oo na! Ito na, aalis na."

I shut my eyes as I heard Sol's footsteps were getting close to me. I felt his breath as he kissed my forehead, "Babalik lang ako ha?" sabi niya sabay sa pag haplos sa aking ulo.
And within just a snap, I heard the door opened and closed.

Tears began to run down from my eyes, I thought he promised.  I thought hindi na niya ako iiwan?
"Akala ko ba andito lang siya para alagaan ako?" I murmured to myself as I wiped all my tears, using my right hand as my other one waas grabbing my shirt. My chest feels so heavy again.
