Thank you all for reading and I'm hoping all is well! This one is longer because I didn't think it looked right being cut in half. Sorry if the writing in this one could be better, I'm in a little funk right now. Also, sorry if some things aren't realistic like how fast time is, but this sadly isn't real and I hate doing time skips. If there are any hate comments to me or anybody including Camilo or other users they will be deleted.

I jump out of the shower and get myself dressed. As I put my hair up in a towel, I take the clothes out of the soapy water, ring them out as best I can and hang them on the line. I head out of the bathroom and go join Camilo on the couch. "Where's Alejandra?" I ask looking around. "Oh, um, Cinidi came to pick her up. She told me to give you this."

He reaches into his pocket and pulls out some pesos. "Oh. She doesn't normally pick her up this early. Thank you though, for looking after her." I take the money from his hand and get up to go to the kitchen. "It's no worries. She's very sweet." I chuckle a little and open a drawer.

"Yea, unless she doesn't get what she wants. Sometimes it's big ol' puppy eyes and other times it's temper tantrums." His smile grows a little and I wrap a rubber band around the pesos. Walking back over to the couch, I look under the coffee table, picking up a board on the floor and dropping my money in there. "You put your pesos in the floor?" He questions, looking confnused.

"Yea. Only a couple times though. It's emergency money." I get back up and throw the towel on my head into the hamper in the bathroom. "Hey, do you think we can head back to the market? I need some more thread." He smiles and nods. I grab my bag and slip on my shoes.

He opens the door for me and grabs my hand, helping me down the steps. "Thank you." I say blushing a little. "Do you have any plans for today?" I ask while we walk. "Not really, no. Just dinner tonight with my family." I make an 'mmm' sound and nod a little. "You?" I shake my head and adjust my bag.

Within a few minutes we arrive and I get my thread. I pay the man and turn to Camilo. "I got yellow so it'll match your ru-" "Hey Camilo." I'm interrupted by a brown haired, tanned skin girl. "Oh, hola Ana." He responds as I look from her to him. "I was wondering if you were free tonight, maybe we could walk and talk around the lake..?" She subtly asks him.

I turn back to her and furrow my brows. "Well, um I do ha-" "He's actually pretty busy tonight." I cut him off and grab his arm, pulling him back to the house, leaving her stunned. "What was that? Is the one that wants to wait jealous?" He teases me a little. I roll my eyes and scoff. "I'm not jealous. It's not that I don't want to date you, it's that I don't want you to date anyone."

He lets out a snicker and tilts his head. "That doesn't make the slightest sense." We arrive at my door and I walk in, hanging up my bag. I sit at the couch and put the thread through the needle. Camilo sits next to me and sets his arm over the head rest. I begin to sew and watch carefully as I do. "Fine, we'll switch conversations. Can I ask you something? About your family?"

I look up to him and stop stitching his ruana. "Oh, I um.. sure." I answer a little nervously. Looking back down, I stick the needle in and out. "Wh-what happened? I mean, where are they?" I sigh and take a deep breath, holding back tears. I keep my eyes trained on the ruana.

"Well, um, about four years ago, me and my family didn't live here. I got really sick and my mother, the loving caring person she was, just couldn't see me so weak. She wanted me to get better fast and she had heard about the Encanto and what your Tia Julieta could do. She packed up and left to find the town. After about a week we started to get really worried." I sniffled a little and wiped a tear that was about to fall.

"A week turned into a month and a month turned into th-three. My father, brother and I all mourned for w-what felt like f-forever. Until one day my father b-blamed me. He said it was my fault that sh-she had left and that h-he wasn't going to live with someone who c-caused her death. My brother and I had a g-great friendship for siblings but a-at this point we were both too scared to s-speak up. My father left and d-dragged my brother with him." I hiccup between words.

By this time, tears stained my cheeks and a couple have fallen on his ruana. I continuously sniffle and wipe my eyes. "I'm sorry I brought it up. I shouldn't have said anything, I'm sorry." Camilo says, sincere worry spread on his face. "It's ok. It's not your fault. It's just hard. But you know what, I'm here now, and I made a nice life for myself the last four years. I'm doing fine."

I let out a long breath, trying to calm down. He moves closer and puts his arm around me. I stop stitching and look up to him. "It's ok to cry about something like this. You lost your family and that can't be easy." A few more tears find their way out of my eyes and I just melt into sadness.

I put the ruana and thread aside and cover my eyes with my hands. I feel like screaming but I try to keep it in the best I can. "I-I don't-t under-rsta-and." I bawl out. Camilo takes his other arm and pulls me in more. He wraps his arms around me as I do him and sob into his shirt.

"I know. It's ok, you don't have to feel sad anymore. Because you're right, you have made yourself a good life. You didn't let what happened stop you from doing things and that's amazing. You are so strong." My breath becomes a little slower as his words make me feel comforted.

I pull away from the hug and notice I've made a wet spot on his shirt. "S-Sorry about that." I say gesturing to it. He looks down and shrugs it off. "It'll dry."

"I'm sorry for making this so awkward now. I don't really cry in front of people." I admit and chuckle a bit. "Well then, I'm glad I get to be one of the only people you trust with that." My face feels hot and luckily my cheeks are already red from crying for him to notice my blush.

I clear my throat a little and move the hair that fell in my face. "Uh, your ruana is almost done. I'll just give it a couple more stitches and it should be termina." I sniffle one more time and start sewing again. The silence is weird but not uncomfortable. When I finish I hold it up and make sure it looks almost as good as it did when it was new.

"Here you go." I say, handing it to him. He stands up and turns it to see both sides. "Thank you once again. It looks great, you can't even tell it ripped." His face lights up which causes me to smile. "Um, I do have to get to dinner, but I'll see you tomorrow?" He asks.

I nod and get up, seeing him out. I open the door for him and he starts to walk out but I take hold of his wrist. "Thanks for helping me when I wasn't exactly happy. I really needed that." He gives me a sincere and genuine smile. "Of course."
