part 24

Mia's POV
It's been a month maybe even longer I kinda lost track after the girls were born but anyways me and melia are suppose to be going back to work today but she is have mommy fever she doesn't want to leave the girls so this morning is kinda rough on us needless to say.

I was getting the girls changed and packed the bags while melia showers then I buckled the girls in the car seat one by one "ok girls today is going to be very emotional for mommy so you guys I have to try not to worry her" I said in my baby voice I will admit I'll miss the girls

I put them in the car seat and we walked out of the twins room into the living room placing them down on the floor. they like to look at their little toys they have on their car seat handle. I went through the baby bag one more time just to make sure we have everything.

the weather in seattle has been up and down but right now it's cold so we bundle the girls
up "ok girls we're ready, now we wait for mommy to come" I said to them talking to them when amelia is not around is a normal thing now

I already prepared stuff for amelia so she doesn't have to worry about it then i hear footsteps "mia? are the girls ready" she asked me "yes, everything is already done. i just need to get their blankets" i told her "i can't leave them" she said here it comes

"babe we can do this" i said to her "shut up" she told me walking to the front to go and get her shoes on "see girls mommy is emotional" i said quietly to the girls "girls don't listen to mama mommy is fine" Amelia said looking back at me with her death stare.

"are we ready to go" i asked her "i guess" she said grabbing the bag while i got the twins then we walked out the door. then we were on our way to the hospital

Amelia's POV
today is the day im back at work and of course im a wreck because i'm leaving the girls and stupid covid is still here not to mention which i hate, and i just loved being at home with the girls spending time with them.

we made it to our the hospital and mia parked in our normal spot "wait" i said out loud she gave me a confused look "i wasn't doing anything" she said "what if something happens while im working" i just said out of nowhere you could say im scared to go back to work "babe no don't start think about happy things" she told me holding my hand "right i got this" i said "ok shall we go before we're late" she said getting out the car she grabbed the bag and then she took riles while i grabbed lex

we walked in the hospital to be greeted with everyone "welcome back" they all said in sync
"hi next time quietly" mia said motioning the twins are with us "omg" we heard April say she walked over to us to look at each twin

"they're so cute, i just want to keep them" april said "ok guys meeting, shepherd and evans once you're done with the babies come we have a lot to talk about" bailey said soon they all left except for arizona she stayed. "melia? you ready to work" she asked me "no i want to stay with my babies" I told her "this will be a good way to keep your mind off things" she told me "yeah like how link just full on died" I said when I'm kinda grumpy I kinda bring out my dark humor about people

"i wasn't going to say that but we can go with that if you want" she said we were walking to the daycare before I realized mia wasn't with us anymore "where is mia and my other daughter" i asked Arizona "oh she's probably already there with lex" Arizona told me "what? how?" i said "while april was looking a miss riles she then snuck away" arizona told me "i'm going to end her" i whispered she rolled her eyes at me then we made it to the front of the daycare which then i saw mia standing there bend down she was looking at lex.

"finally mommy is here" i heard mia say "ok zona you have to promise me to keep an eye on them make sure they're ok and page me if they have any problems" i went down the rules with arizona i think she caught all of that.

Mia's POV
we finally are at the hospital. it's been about 10 minutes melia won't let the girls go she has been over the rules a million times i could just replay them in my head while she was talking to arizona i decided to talk to my girls.

i bent down in front of their chair seats to find them both asleep "well i was going to tell you guys something but you're asleep" i said talking to them they looked so peaceful while they slept. i will admit i will miss my girls and i am worried to leave them but arizona promised to watch them along with jo did to. i quickly gave them both kisses before coming back up to find amelia talking to arizona still
"okay. the girls are asleep they should wake up in around 2 hours" i told arizona "okay, i have it all down but we do that a meeting to get too" she told us then that made Amelia panic more

"then who is going to watch them" amelia then asked "they're unless you want to take them with us to the meeting" arizona said "zona no! and babe this will be nice we need to know how to be away from them" i told Amelia "no i need my babies" she said "ok how about this i'll tell jo to come in here and check on them? while we're at the meeting" arizona said "yes that perfect" i said amelia rolled her eyes at me "i guess" Amelia said

after we said our goodbyes to the twins after like 30 minutes we were finally able to go to work we walked down to the conference room and everyone was already there waiting

"sorry we are late just hard time with the babies" I said as all three of us walked in the room "it's fine" Bailey said then me and melia went to go sit down next to each other "what are we talking about" Amelia asked them

"a replacement" April said "for" I said "as we know link passed we need someone to fill in his spot" Bailey said then it got quiet because if anything that was the last topic we needed to talk about our loud this was going to be hard.
