Amelia's POV
Today is another birthday my kids birthday which Mia kinda put me in charge of why i don't know! her ass decided to order 4 cakes she won't tell me why and not to mention she got a shit ton of gifts for the girls as if they need anymore it's not like we don't buy them things everyday just to be thrown on the floor
"i still don't know why you put me in charge of this whole thing" i told her we were in the closet changing "because i love you" she told me "doesn't answer my question" i told her as i was putting my pants on "our kids are lucky" she told me looking at me up and down
"they have a hot mom" she told me "what time are you getting off?" i asked her "well i'm having my intern pick up the cakes since i have surgery so maybe 4" she told me "right you have that surgery with me i forgot" i said
"i know! why you?" she said laughing i slightly pushed her but her being mia slammed into the wall knocking things down "mia" i said shocked covering my mouth with my hand she looked over at me laughing "fuck" she said "gosh you're so dramatic" i told her "me really? last night i could hear you crying and laughing at what i don't know" she told me i was now laughing because i didn't know she heard me last night "you weren't supposed to hear that" i told her and she nodded at me
we walked out into the twins room to find them both awake "my girls happy birthday" mia said walking over grabbing lex and me taking riles "we have two special girls who are 1 today" i said tickling their stomachs with kisses on the cheek
we got them all ready and packed "alright girls which car are we taking today" i asked we were standing by the front door waiting for Mia to hurry up "i say we take mommy's car" i said then i see mia walking in with all bags in her hand. i totally forgot she changed her hair she went a little darker than usual
"i love your hair" I said "my hair has been like this for a week" she said putting the girls bag on and taking one of the car seats "mhmm i still like it though" i said "which car" she asked "mommys car" i said "let's go" she said grabbing the keys and walking out the door she packed all the stuff up in the car and we drove our way to the hospital.
Mia's POV
Today is the twins birthday and let's just say i may get a little emotional because my girls are one like they have been on this earth for one year that's crazy to think about really.
i parked the car and started getting everything out while melia grabbed the twins "babe? what time is our surgery?" she asked me "twelve? i think" i said grabbing all the bags and closing the trunk she was looking at me "where are all the gifts you got them" she asked "in the guest room" i told her i don't really know what the big deal
"what did you even get them" she asked me as we were walking into the hospital "things their mommy said i can't buy" i told her "because babe they will see it for a second then throw it on the ground" she told me "that's not my fault the girls are picky about it, they know what they want" i told her then we see arizona
"if i recall right it's the twins birthday" arizona said taking them from amelia "yes! can you do us a favor?" i asked the blonde looked up at us "take the girls to daycare? we have a surgery we need to get to" amelia told her then arizona nodded taking them her way
after what felt like forever in surgery we finally finished "you were fantastic today Dr.Evans" i heard someone say as me and amelia were walking out of the O.R. we both turned around and let's just say melia didn't like this.
"yeah thank you" i said trying to turn my heels but amelia held my arm "hold up, does she like have feelings for you" she asked me "amelia right now is not the time" i told her "mhmm" she said before walking away from me.
the drive home was quiet not much eye contact and i know why amelia is being like this but i also know she can't last that long so she will crack any moment from now.
i was in the kitchen just cleaning up while the girls are in the floor crawling around and melia well i don't know where she went. "girls i think your mommy may be mad at me" i said walking into the living to go and sit down
they gave me nothing "can we say mama" i
said i got nothing but i did get amelia back with us "are you ok?" i asked her she was sitting on the couch "yeah i'm fine" she said but she said it in this way that made it sound like she wasn't fine
"well shall we go say happy birthday to the birthday girls" i said getting up and grabbing lex while amelia gets riles we got everything set up but then I also forgot i got 4 cakes
"ok melia take all the pictures" i said then she went picture crazy. i was just laughing on the inside it was quite funny to watch "ok and we sing" she said we didn't light the candles for obvious reasons they're only one
we let them go cake crazy that was pretty cute even though frosting was everywhere and i mean everywhere i think they enjoyed it "babe i have a cake for you" I told her "why me?" she asked "because you're the best superhero mom ever but you gotta turn around" i told her
Amelia's POV
okay i think mia thinks i'm stupid because i have known her for so long she is trying to use this it's my daughters birthday as an excuse to throw cake on me but I have something for her.
"ok can i turn around" i asked "mhmm" she said i turned around looking down at the cake then i saw her move before she could do it i flipped it upwards going all over her "aww I'm sorry but you messed with mommy bear" i told her she was covered all in frosting
she was flabbergasted because she didn't except me to do that "girls look at your mama" i said laughing i had to take a picture of this i couldn't miss showing everyone this "you do know I'll get you back right" she told me
"no because you're mad i caught on with your little nasty ass joke" i told her "i will" she said
i started cleaning up around the house after I put the girls down I turned off the lights and walked to the bedroom
i walked in Mia just got out of the shower I looked at her then started laughing "this is a lesson to never mess with me" i whispered in her ear on the way to the bathroom she pulled my arm back close to her body.
"and if I do" she told me "you don't wanna find out" I told her "mhmm" she said our bodies were close our lips were inches apart for each other before she could lean in and kiss me I moved away looking back at her with a smirk
