The siren pack was on their feet even before Jungkook could spiral down completely in panic.

Yoongi was the first one to notice the mermaid's face twisting in discomfort his legs moved on his own as he firmly grabbed the mermaid's shoulder rubbing them gently trying to ease any physical discomfort.

However, it doesn't seem to work as the mermaid went into a full-blown panic yelling and crying thrashing around the siren's hold, not registering any of their attempt to calm him down.

Seokjin gently picked him up and set him on his lap murmuring soft nothing into his ear, requesting him to breathe and guiding him very gently and lovingly out of his panic attack.

Jungkook calmed down however he was still crying, clutching desperately on Seokjin's shirt and sobbing so hard that it made sirens heart ache as they all surrounded the mermaid trying to unintentionally build a nest around him to keep him safe.

It was probably the tiredness from crying hysterically or warmth of being surrounded in a safe embrace that Jungkook fall asleep still one hand clutching on Jin's dress shirt but now he was seated on Namjoon's lap his head slightly falling on Yoongi, another hand firmly held by Taehyung and Jimin who were rubbing calming circles on the back of his hand and his legs thrown on Hoseok's lap.

Even with the very complicated sitting arrangement, he was in a comfortable position, his tears drying on his cheek with eyes slightly puffed up and cheeks flushed from crying but he looked serene and cozy, but the same couldn't be said for the sirens as they all hurdled uncomfortably around the mermaid.

The fact that they have unintentionally kick-started the soulmate bond by physical touch drowning on them.

"Fuck"

"Shit"

"Oh..."

"Oh no.."

Even with all types of expressions leaving their mouth to convey how surprised and unhappy they were, one can not be fooled by the identical smile on each of their faces as they looked down at the mermaid sleeping peacefully in their embrace.

"We should go back to our home, this house is pretty small...." Jimin looked around the two-storey simple beach vacation house which wasn't that small for a pack of four mermaids however with seven of them the house felt pretty cramped up.

" We should probably wait for Jungkook to wake up, I honestly don't want to move away from him at all. "

The sudden protectiveness that the four sirens were feeling was a bit overwhelming as they never felt this protective for any of their mates before because they had always considered themselves to be able to protect themselves.

But the fact that they formed a soul bond when Jungkook was in such a vulnerable state had made their protective instincts go up to many folds.

Jungkook felt his soul crystal buzz in multiple vibrations even after the soulbond should have long been settled but with his eyes heavy with sleep and being surrounded by the warmth of his mates he ignored it falling straight back into a deep slumber.

The sirens feel it, there was just something about that buzzing in their soul crystals and about the boy lying on their lap that seems a bit off.

An ominous feeling that they couldn't put their fingers on, it is something very deep, something that can be easily disregarded as a stupid thought.

And that's what the sirens did.

But maybe they shouldn't have, maybe they should have paid a bit more attention to that feeling.
