"So what do you think?"

"Are you guys even listening to me? Hello Alejandro Y/n!

"What were you even blabbing about?" asked Alejandro tiredly

"I was asking you guys if you think I would look better in a pink or blue dress for tomorrows party!" Valeria responded a bit annoyed

"Wait what party?" You finally spoke, a little curious

"The one the Madrigals are hosting!! They're celebrating Bruno's return and the town helping them with their home!" Valeria said excitedly

"Ooh i totally forgot about that, maybe we should all go together" you said looking at your friends

"Sounds good to me," Alejandro grinned thinking about something

"Alright we'll meet eachother at the entrance at 6 don't forget." Valeria mentioned looking directly at Alejandro

I giggled looking at Alejandro's offended face, "We'll try not to" I teased.

Valeria scoffed playingly and started heading to her house. Alejandro and I stayed.

"We should also head home" I said
"Actually I have to drop some boxes of fireworks off at the Madrigals, why don't you join me? Alejandro asked
"Sure let's go"

We were right in front of the casita and I stared in amazement admiring the beautiful home, it was unique.

We were greeted by a kind looking woman whose name I learned to be Julieta

"Oh are those the fireworks, here follow me" the woman said quickly guiding us inside.

After we placed the boxes down the woman offered us some food and we politely agreed sitting down.

"I hope you two will be able to come and celebrate with us" Julieta smiled kindly

"We'll totally be there," Alejandro responded stuffing an arepa in his mouth. "Yeah, can't wait!" I added smiling.

The woman was about to say something but a girl walked in and called her, "Mom, oh hi!" the girl awkwardly said waving her hand to us we waved back.

The three of us laughed together
"Well, it's getting pretty late" Alejandro said

Mirabel checked the time, two hours have already passed.
"Oh my god you're right, well it was so much fun getting to know you guys"

Mirabel accompanied us out the door and happily waved. "Don't forget parties tomorrow!!"

As Mirabel watched them leave she smiled at herself and thought,

'I hope I get to see them again tomorrow.'

"She's pretty cool" Alejandro commented

"I hope we can get to talk to her tomorrow!" I said brightly

Mirabel told us stories about her family and their gifts. She has two older sisters named Isabella and Luisa. All their gifts were really amazing but Mirabel's story was emotional. She had been the only Madrigal who had not been given a gift because she was the miracle herself.

Alejandro and I reached my house and I turned around looking at him.

"Thanks for walking me home I'll see you tomorrow, goodnight" I said yawning.

"No problem see you tomorrow, goodnight y/n" he smiled at my tired face.

And with that I walked into my house and headed straight to bed just wanting to sleep.
