My name is Nick Takahashi, yes I am part American and part Japanese. My whole life I've lived in Japan and never went to America. I've always dreamt about it but we never had the chance to go there. I am friendly with everyone and have no enemies but I mostly avoid conversations or interacting with others because I'm an introvert and a loner. I have two extrovert best friends, Sakuta Azusagawa and Kiyotaka Ayanokoji (yes in this one they're extroverts.. deal with it). They're the one who helped socialize a bit. Okay enough introductions and let's get to it shall we?
It was like any other day, we are in class during math. We are all doing our own works since we've already finished learning for the day. Some people are chatting, some are doing other homework and some are just minding their own business. I am just sitting at my desk watching this one couple straight up dating near the school field. I think they had free period or something like that. I've dated girls in the past but it never went well because I'm mostly the problem. Ever since then, I've hated couples and I was sure I'll never be able to date again.
Suddenly, the classroom door open and a beautiful girl walked in. Everyone eyes lit up especially the boys because of her beauty. The teacher announces the new student joining us named Ayane Horikita then she introduces herself to the class. Apparently she's transferred here all the way from Tokyo. The teacher told Horikita to sit down at a desk next to mine since it's empty. My desk is at the very back of the class and it's beside a window. Sakuta who sits in front of me immediately turns and says
Sakuta: Wow man you are one lucky bastard. Don't forget us when you're married hahahaha
Nick: Haha.. Very funny man. I gave up on dating remember?
Sakuta: Shut up man. I know you can't resist her also hahaha
Kiyotaka (who sits beside Sakuta): Guys shut up and Nick stop drooling over her
Nick: What the heck you guys are idiots
Suddenly I felt a light tap on my shoulder. It was Horikita.
Horikita: Hi! My name's Ayane Horikita and you knew that already haha... um.. anyway what's yours?
I don't know why but I froze and forgot how to talk
Nick: Uh.. name.. my.. Nick..
Sakuta: Haha his name's Nick Takahashi and I'm Sakuta Azusagawa. He's a little shy hahaha. You can call us by our first names! Feel free to ask us anything
Horikita: Aw that's cute. Well in that case, you can call me Ayane
Sakuta: For sure!
Nick: Happy to have you here.....
Horikita: Hehe thank you! Oh and no need to be shy Nick-kun, I don't bite haha.
Nick: Okay.. I'll remember that heh
Horikita: There we go! Good job Nick-kun
She gives me a thumbs up then turns to introduce herself to some people around here. My heart was beating really fast.. Am I falling in love?
