"Mom, why are you freaking out on everyone?" Haley asked

"Because you're acting very irresponsibly-all of you"

"Listen, honey. Luke has a giant project due tomorrow for school that he hasn't even started, Haley just informed me she needs 40 cupcakes for her school fund-raiser and Sophie for hers,also due tomorrow"

"I'd like to point out I completed all my assignments on my own and on time" Alex said

"Not now, Alex" Phil and Claire said

"I will take the cupcakes. You do the project. It's on Vincent van Gogh"

"Done!" Phil said

"I need you to really stay on him. Keep him focused"

"All right. I'm actually gonna take a different approach, but"

"actually gonna insist that you don't"

"Claire, I know you've got your methods, but so do I. And I'm sorry,but I'm not a micromanager"

"Trust me, I can provide Luke with the tools and guidance he needs..."

"You think I smother our childs?"

"It's not your fault, honey."Mother" is part of the word"

"You never hear of anyone being "sfathered" to death" Claire said

"I know what his problem is, he's got A.D.H.D"

"No.No, I don't!"

"What is it?" Claire asked

"I'd tell you, but you'd wander off before I got to the "H"".

"Just promise me that you will stay on him"

"I will, but you might have a little more confidence in him"

Later, Claire was trying to teach Haley and Sophie how to cook

 "Okay. It's egg-crackin' time. Now, I find the key to cracking an egg properly-" 

"Mom, we're not childs" Haley said

"Yeah, we can do it" Sophie said 

"Sweetie, I would trust you with my own life, i would trust you on every single thing you do, but not cook" Claire told Sophie

"Mom"

"Okay. Okay"

"Okay"

Interview

"Our mom's not dumb" Sophie said

"You can't just ask her to do something for you" Haley said

"You have to very carefully put the cheese in the trap. I'm not proud about this but I have a lot of study to do I can't spend my day making 40 cupcakes" Sophie said

End Interview

"Oh. Oops. I got a little shell in the bowl" Haley said

"I got it. It's okay" Claire said

"Okay. I'm gonna- I'll do this" Claire said

Interview

"And snap. Is it bad that I feel sorry for her?" Haley said as she high fived Sophie

  Later, all the Dunphy family was in the kitchen talking 

"Sweetie, can you hand me those?" Claire asked Sophie that was studying 

"Uh-huh"

"Yeah, I can talk" Haley said talking on the phone

"What are you doing?" Sophie asked Claire that throwed the cupcakes in the trash

"I showed you two how to make 'em, and now you can do it yourselves"

"But, I can't i have to finish to study" Sophie said

"Sorry sweetie. Come on, guys. Let's go" Claire told everyone except Haley and Sophie

"Well, good, because we really wanted to" Haley yelled

"Okay. We're setting the oven to 700!"

"We're putting, uh- we're putting the eggs in the bowl!"

"Oh, I got some shells in 'em! Uh-oh!" Haley continued yelling while Sophie was now desperate
