"No more fighting! For the rest of your lives, you are not allowed to yell at each other" Claire yelled at her childs and Manny who were fighting
"Oh, but you're allowed to yell at us?" Sophie said
"Yes, Sophie, I am, because I feed you and I clothe you and I pay the mortgage"
"Pretty sure old dad deserves a shout-out right about now" Phil spoke
"Phil!"
"Sorry. Should've taken the temperature of the room first. What's up?" He asked
"Well, I'm dealing with a lot of high dr--" Manny started talking but got interrupted by Haley
"Luke and Manny barged into Sophie's room while the three of us were changing, the little pervs!"
"Can I just say, in Europe this would be no big deal"
"Yeah. You can see me in my underwear whenever you want. Here, I'll make it even" Luke said
"No, hey, Luke, Luke, Luke!" Claire called
"Mom!" Alex yelled
"Luke, keep your pants on, okay?! And, girls, stop getting so hysterical over everything! Come on! Now, grow up a little! I need things to start changing around here, or I will change things, okay?" Claire said
"There will be no more TV and no lnternet and no whatever else I can think of" Claire continued and while she was talking Phil was making faces behind her back making the kids laugh a bit
"May I have a word with you, Phil?"
"I'd rather not" Phil said and then Claire took him away to talk
"You two just stay out of my room" Sophie told Luke and Manny sighing and then going into the kitchen
Later
"Goodbye" Alex said as she, Haley and Sophie ran downstairs
"We will be back in a few hours" Haley told their parents
"Bye" Sophie said opening the door
"Oh, whoa! Where you guys going?" Claire asked them
"We're taking Alex to the movies, and then me and Sophie are going to the mall"
"How fun! That sounds like fun, doesn't it, Phil?"
"I'm not much of a shopper, but it would depend on-"
"Oh. Uh...Girls...How about you clean your bathroom before you go, huh? It'd really help your mom out" Phil said after Claire wishpered something to him
"Oh, no. It's not about what mom wants. You mom is cool, very cool with whatever. It's about what dad wants" Claire spoke
"I would really like it if you would clean your bathroom" He spoke again
"But my movie!"
"Why do we have to do it now?" Sophie asked rolling her eyes
"Because I say so. And because I'm your dad. And I'm older than you, and I call the shots around here. Right?"
"Yes, you do" Claire told him
"This is so unfair!" Haley said
Later
"We're finished cleaning the bathroom" Haley told Phil as the girl were running downstairs
"We're leaving" Sophie continued opening the door once again
"See? That didn't take too long. Thank you, girls. Now, go and have a good time, all right?"
"Bye" The girls yelled
"Girls!" They heard Phil yell a few minutes later
"Did he just yell?" Alex asked
"Drive!" Sophie yelled to Haley
"I'm trying!"
"You girls get back here right now!"
"Pretend you don't hear him" Haley told them
"I know you can hear me!"
"He's heading straight for the car!" Sophie yelled
"Oh, my God! Aah!" The girls yelled as Phil jumped on the front of the car
"Aah!"
"Stop this car!"
"We're sorry, dad!" Alex said
"We couldn't hear you!" Sophie told him
"No more lies! You poked the bear, girls! You poked him!"
Later, Phil was making the girls do chores
"I'm starving" Alex wishpered to her sisters
"Me too" Sophie said
"Say something" Haley told her
"Um, dad? We haven't had lunch yet" Sophie told him
"Neither have half the kids in Africa. Stop yapping and get back to work" Phil told her
"Why is he taping our laptops shut?" Alex asked
"Because he's out of his mind" Sophie said
"I'm not out of my mind! You took advantage, and you lost your computer privileges"
"Oh, come on, dad. We said we're sorry" Sophie told him
"Plus I can't get the stupid drain unclogged, anyway" Haley said
"Stick that hanger down there" Phil told her
"Ew, no!"
"Well, it's either that or we cut off all your hair, 'cause that's what caused the problem -- thoughts? Good, because after you finish this room, you're gonna clean my bathroom, too, and you know how gross I can be"
"Dad!" Sophie yelled
"No!"
"Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh! Ew! Gross! All right. Oh! Aah!" Haley yellled with hair in her hands
"Settle down. It's hair. Oh, my God. I'm not cut out for this" Phil said
In the evening Claire and Luke came back, Luke was mad at Claire so he headed straight to his room
"Girls! Grab your buckets and meet me by the car!" Phil called after Claire told him Luke threw up in the car
"They don't have to do that" Claire told him
"They do if I say so"
"I'm sorry. I swear I just told you to grab your buckets!" He told them
"We haven't eaten all day" Sophie told him
"We're hungry" Alex said
"Well, you won't be in a minute"
"Honey, you haven't fed them all day?" Claire asked
"They're monsters, Claire --Deceitful, manipulative monsters -- and they need to be broken"
"He's crazy!" Sophie scremed loking at her mother
"You know what?! Mom's the crazy one! She ran over my hand" Luke told her
"We were having fun! Girls, go to the kitchen. Get something to eat" Claire said
"Thank you!" Sophie said walking past Phil and glaring at him
"Oh! Phil, honey, this isn't working. Listen to me. You are not a good bad cop, and I am a very bad good cop. We need things to go back to the way they were" Claire told him
"Yeah. Yeah. I feel really shaky"
"Mm-hmm"
"I don't like being you" Phil told her
"Nobody does"
