"Hey, how come you guys haven't accepted my friend requests?" Claire asked to her daughters

"I didn't know you were on Facebook" Haley lied

"You are? I haven't received any friend request from you" Sophie lied too

"Yeah. Plus, you said it was only for teenagers and people looking to have affairs" Alex told her

"Well, I figured if you can't fight it...
Not the having the affair. That's still bad. No. Not that, but there's nothing wrong with catching up with a few old friends, right?" Claire told them

"Or doing a little social networking with my B.F.F.s?" She continued

"Social networking or social not-working?" Luke joked

"Oh! You know what we gotta do?We gotta get a picture of us all together on a boat. I think that's a thing now. So what do you say? Accept my friend thingy" Claire said

"Sorry, mom, as Sophie said I-I didn't get a friend thingy from you either" Alex lied

"Yeah, you know, they have a lot of blocks on there to protect kids from weirdos" Haley came up with an excuse

"Mm. Okay. Good, good.I'll send it again"

"Great" Haley said

"Please do" Alex told her

"Can't wait" Sophie replied sarcastically

Interview

"Please don't. We got her request the first time, but ignored it" Sophie said

"We can't have her on there snooping around seeing what we're doing at parties" Haley said referring to herself and Sophie

"Or posting pictures of us on family vacations wearing old, dorky clothes" Alex said while Haley and Sophie looked at her sweatshirt

"What?What's wrong with this?" Alex asked

End Interview

"Dad, check it out.I made one giant oreo" Luke said

"Luke, what are you doing?You gotta eat it like it's an ear of corn" Phil told him

"Genius"

"Wow. New suit?" Claire asked Phil

"New everything. Kids, gather 'round.It's time for a life lesson" Phil called

"Aren't we already gathered?" Haley asked

"Yes we are, he does that every time" Sophie said in an annoyed tone

"Let me tell you something. Hard work, determination, and perseverance always win out. I am living proof that nice guys can finish first" Phil told them

Later, in the livingroom

"Okay. You three are deliberately not confirming me. Everybody else has accepted my Facebook requests-- your father, Uncle Mitchell...Adele. That's right. Adele has agreed to be my friend, and my own daughters haven't" Claire said entering the livingroom

"What? No, we would never" Sophie said clearly lying and Claire just threw her a look that made her shiver

"Alex has something to say" Sophie told her trying to get out of the topic

"Yeah, you may just be a fan of Adele, and--" Alex started talking but Claire interrupted her

"What is so private that I can't possibly see it?" Claire asked

"Nothing" Haley answered

"Nothing. You just don't want to be my friend" Claire said

"Everything" Sophie tried to change the answer
