"Is there anything you remember that could be helpful," Clarke asked her mother. She waited until the next day to start question Abby about her experience at the prisoners camp. Now she sat around the kitchen with Bellamy, Octavia, and Indra, but Clarke was the only one asking her mother questions. "Mom, any little thing could help with our attack."

"I'm sorry sweetie," Abby replied as she shook her head. "There was only ever one person around me most of the time. Sometimes their conversations were loud enough to hear, but there was nothing specific I could remember."

Indra finally spoke up, asking her own question. "Let's start with something simple then. How many people do you remember seeing?"

Abby thought a few moments before replying. "I think I saw at least 20 men around the fire, but I think there were a few people missing."

Octavia stood up from where she had been sitting, taking a step closer to Abby. "Why do you think there were some people missing from their camp?"

"Well I didn't hear the whole conversation, but I remember them saying how they were hungry and their hunting party was taking too long."

Clarke stood up as well, looking to the three others as she spoke. "I wonder how many others there are. 20? 30? We have the numbers."

"Yes we have the numbers, but my warriors haven't trained in years. We only have a few people that are ready for a fight." Indra shook her head and sighed. "If we fight today there's a good chance we would lose."

"And that is why we will start training again. Today in fact." Octavia didn't wait for a response as she quickly left the room.

Clarke turned back towards Indra. "We can't lose. Do whatever you can to get them ready quickly." Indra only nodded in response before following after Octavia.

The room fell quiet as Ballamy and Clarke were left alone to their thoughts. After a few minutes Clarke broke the silence between them, letting out a deep sigh and rubbing her hands across her face.

"What's wrong?" He asked in a soft voice. When she didn't answer he grabbed her hands with his own, bringing them away from her face. "Talk to me Clarke, please."

"We can't lose Bellamy, not this time," Clarke whispered, tears already beginning to pool in her eyes. "I can't let any of this get destroyed. I'm so happy now, Bell. I have you with me, my friends and the kids. I will do anything to protect the four of them, and although I don't want to fight, I will do it if it means protecting them. I would burn down the world, just to rebuild, if it meant they would be able to grow up in peace."

Bellamy placed a quick kiss on her forehead. "And we will protect them. I will help you protect everyone we care about, but we have to be smart. We can't go in blind, swinging our weapons carelessly without a plan. That's how we will lose Clarke. We need to train and come up with a plan, that's how we win. Together."

The head and the heart, Clarke thought to herself. She took a step closer to Bellamy, closing the distance between them as she placed a kiss on his lips. They stayed like that for a moment, lips connected, savoring the moment in each other's presence. Bellamy was the first to pull apart. "I love you Clarke Griffin"

"I love you Bellamy Blake. Until the end of the line."

For seven days they trained. From sun up to sun down they trained, only stopping to eat and sleep. It took most of the warriors only a few days to regain the skills that were lost while they were underground. During the week Indra, Octavia, Bellamy, and Clarke discussed battle plans. They created a plan for every thinkable scenario. There was one for a night attack, an attack in bad weather, even a plan for if they underestimated their opponents numbers. By day seven they group was feeling extremely confident with their chances. They were expecting a winning outcome. There was barely a sliver of doubts in the back of all their minds.
