Niyati pov

Just let me explain, Priye.” Yash starts.

“No, no Yash, you don't get to do that anymore. You can do anything, absolutely anything, and I still wouldn't trust you.” I say, my eyes watering, “You left me, when I need you the most, I don't think I can ever, ever forgive you. Trust, once broken, cannot be mended. Not for me.”

“Well then, my priye, I'll mend it.” he says, taking a step towards me.

“You can't, Yash, that's impossible.”

“Is it? Then I'll make it possible.”

Niyati pov

“Why do you think so?”
His words are still in my head like he just said them.
What did he mean by that?
Is there any chance he feels the same about me?
If he does….

Oh my god.

“Didi” I hear Arjun yell.
“What?!?” I yell back.

“Are you ready?” he asks, placing himself on my bed. And soon after him, my other brothers come.

I shake my head as they all just lay down on my bed.

“What do you think?” I raise my eyebrow.
I was already ready.

I've been ready for an hour.
Why? I don't know.
Maybe because I didn't sleep and kept repeating Yash's words in my head, thinking about all the possibilities of what he could mean.

Hey Narayan, what is happening to me? Who would've thought I'd be hung up on him so much.

“Arre, what are y'all waiting here for?” Revati bhabhi, Balram Dau's wife, came frowning. “Oh Niyati, you look so beautiful.” she squeals.

Nakul sits and bends his head, looking at me from my head to my feet.

“From where, Revati bhabhi?”

Raising hands, I caught his ear.

“What were you saying Nakul?” I say, twisting his ear.

“That you look gorgeous, didi.”

I hummed. “That's better.”

“This blue lehenga is so beautiful Niyati, you look great!” Revati bhabhi says.

I smile.
“Thank you Bhabhi. Why did you come here?”

“Oh yes, the festival started. Or should I say, the war.” she grins, “Come on now, we have to defeat Krishna today.”

I laugh before we all rush out of my room.

Describing the scenery outside Dwarka door is impossible.
It looks splendid.

The colours flowing in the air, along with coloured water.

I have never seen so much happiness for a festival.

The radiant lights all over the palace and the houses of people.
Food, drinks, everything.

“Didi!” a hand comes on my shoulder.

Startled, I looked behind to see an excited Subhadra.

“You go catch Bhrata Krishna! He should be your main aim, go” she says, sending me away.

Taking colour in both of my hands I start to search for Yash.

Once I spot him, I run towards him.

Unfortunately he sees me, and hurries away.
