Niyati pov

You didn't just break your promises, you broke me too.
And yes, I left you,
And yes, I try to break my promise to you
But unlike you, I don't break promises
Unlike you, I won't truly leave you.
Because you are here, in my heart.

Niyati pov

“Entering the sabha now, is Dwarkadheesh Vasudev Krishna.” the man announces.

I follow Yash, as he makes his way first towards my cousins, Gandharaj Shakuni and Bhrata Karna.

“Pranipat Vasudev.” Shakuni mama greets, joining his hands.

“Pranipat mamashree.” Yash greets back to which Shakuni mama chuckles nervously.

“Do not call me Mamashree, Vasudev. I'm scared of becoming your mamashree.” he says, faking a smile.

“Why, Mamashree, Because of Mama Kans? You do know that Mamashree Kans got released from his sins when i entered his life, right?” Yash says, a mischievous twinkle in his eyes.

Mama Shakuni gives a wide smile before looking at me curiously.

But Yash paid no more heed to him, he continued his walk towards Duryodhan.

“Pranipat Bhrata Duryodhan.”
“Stay blessed, Vasudev.”

“Pranipat Angraj.” Yash greets, to which Bhrata Karna responds, just as respectfully.

Looking at Bhrata Karna, frequently thought questions pop into my mind.

Did Bhrata Karna know about Varnavat? Was he in the wicked plan of the kauravas?

But then I ignored it, once again, knowing Bhrata Karna loves me and won't do anything to hurt me.

“Vasudev, I have always wanted to know something from you, how do you know what is righteous and what is not?” Bhrata Karna asks.

Yash smiles.

“I have always known what is righteous and what is not, only because of my love. Love, Angraj Karna, love triumphs all. When you love someone, do not let them go. They will be your guide to righteousness.”

“So who is it that you love, Vasudev?” Bhrata karna asks to which my eyes perk up.

“That is for me to know, and for you to find out, Angraj.” Yash replies with a mischievous grin on his face.

Yash then goes on to his seat beside Draupadi.

“Pranipat Govind.” Draupadi seeks his blessings, but he stops her.

“We are friends, Draupadi, you need not touch my feet to take my blessings, you already have them with you forever.” he says with his ever constant smile.

He, then, greets King Draupad Nd Dhrishtadyumna and Shikhandini and sat in his seat, with me standing right behind him.

“Let the swayamvar begin!” King Draupad announces.

Not one King or crowned Yuvraj are able to pick the divine bow.

But then comes Angraj Karna, who first decided to docut for his friend, my cousin, Duryodhan, but was denied. So then, he does it for himself, when Duryodhan orders him to do so.

As Bhrata Karna marched forward, I couldn't help but think how he would be perfect for Draupadi.

He easily picks up the bow and is about to aim for the fish, when Draupadi stops him.

“I will not marry a sutputra,” she declares.

My heart breaks. Why is my Bhrata always disrespected for his caste? For his occupation?
And he is now a king.

Duryodhan may be evil, but he helped Bhrata Karna, showed Bhrata Karna respect.

I may not like him, but I respect him just for respecting Bhrata Karna.

I open my mouth to stand up for my brother from another mother but then I realize, I can't.

My identity needs to be hidden.

I stifled a groan.

Yash catches my hand in his, and squeezes it assuring me that everything will be fine.

I sigh.

Bhrata Karna looks up to Princess Draupadi in anger.

“You do realize that I am a king, don't you, daughter of Draupad? And just a few minutes back I was told that I could not help my friend win, but I can certainly do it for myself, and now that I am, and was just about to aim for it, you stop me? If you don't want to marry me or if there's someone in your heart, you could've just said so, you need not disrespect me by calling me a sutputra.” Bhrata Karna snapped.

I can't help but smile, he did not need me, nor did he need Duryodhan.

He stood up for himself.
It's a great progress.

Yash pov

Some girls are full of heartbreak and poetry, and those are the girls who try to help the wolves instead of running away from them.

You, priye, are one of those girls.

Or I guess, I can say,
You are The Girl.
