Almost Did

20-worried

He was looking like a puppy with his sparkling eyes ,she didn't know what to say anymore he put her in a difficult situation

She was about to say yes ,but then she got back to her senses this isn't the right time for anything related to him and now she needs to go do something helpful and important

So she just looked at him and said "I can't ,I apologize , I have to go now " she was about to leave he stood in front of her one last time and said "ok ,ok you can leave but please let me take you there "

For some reason she didn't like to refuse she said a lot no's today so I guess.......yes

She looked at him and finally gave in he smiled from ear to ear and told her that he'll be back in two minutes
And quickly ran upstairs he almost tripped on the upper stairs she just chuckled at his behavior

He came after exactly two minutes wearing a leather brown jacket and grabbed his keys

And escorted her outside

They were in the car no one talked she was leaning her head on the seat looking out the window she was busy in her thoughts as she was brought back to reality

He noticed her but didn't say anything she needs time
She is strong but she needs time everyone does especially when they need to get used to something like this it's not easy in fact it's hard , really hard

They spent the whole ride in silence as they arrived in Hong Corp she decided to come here since it's closer to his house she didn't want to burden him she thought and couldn't afford having any of her family members see him

She thanked him and went out of the car, he smiled thinking how it's been so long since they spent this much time together

she went to her office as neither Du shik nor Yu Chan were in the company both had to accompany their loves

Even though cha young was alone now but for some reason she felt a bit relived with vin's presence it made up for having no one there for her but she wasn't that selfish to demand anyone to be there for her

But she had to be the strong one here the rock she can't neglect her work and the company no matter has happens

She spent the whole day at the office , leaving every now and then ,dealing with her panic attacks but when she felt like her body had enough she left to go home

When she arrived home it was dark as usual but for some reason tonight's darkness was different

She went up to her room and got ready for bed she was tired and thought that she'll fall asleep the moment she lays down but she was wrong she couldn't sleep

She kept tossing and turning nothing helped her sleep she tried to clear her mind but couldn't it kept drifting away
Once she realized that sleeping might not be an option right now she decided not to fight the urge of thinking anymore

And the first thing that she thought of was her absence she regretted drifting apart a bit from her lately because of work and not knowing about her disease but that's Aunt Min after all keeping everything from her family was her thing

For the longest time cha young used to not cry thinking it makes her stronger but that ended up making her break down all of a sudden in front of people , but she found out that venting her emotions if she had any at night it was her way of comforting herself

So after a long cry she decided to go find herself a drink to satisfy her thirst she went down to the kitchen and someone was sitting there she got closer and saw Du shik drinking a beer can she patted his shoulder from behind and went to the fridge grabbed a beer for herself too , and sat next to him she opened the can and started drinking from it

They just sat there drinking their own drinks until he finally said "I know you're having a hard time "

"I'm ok " she said shortly not looking at him

"Really ? Cause your face says otherwise especially your eyes " he said bringing his face closer to her

She pushed his face and said "so what , it's normal "

"Stop cha young ahhh , I'm worried you're making me worried " he said , "why ?" She asked looking at him

"Don't hide your emotions stop it , it's ok to ask for help , I know how much she meant to you especially I loved her so much too but you're different , I owe her so much , without her I wouldn't have met hye jin , when she brought her for the first time to our house when we were sixteen I always wanted to thank her for that but I'm too late , she made me not worry about you as I know that you have someone like her by your side , while I was gone I was thankful for her for always being with my little sis , uhhh I still remember how she was the only person who convinced mom about hye jin and me when not even dad could "

He looked at her who was looking down and put his arm around her shoulder he knew she was crying after a while she calmed down and looked up wiping her tears

"I don't want you to keep anything from me I don't judge you , you will forever be my cha young " he said

She hummed and looked at him smiling

Suddenly out of no where he asked "are you keeping anything from me ?"

"No " she said shaking her head

"Are you sure ?" He asked nervously playing with the empty can in his hand

She thought for a little while then nodded her head

"Why ?" She asked

" nothing" he just said Even though he looked as if he had a lot to say

A few months ago

It's been a few months since Cha young and Vincenzo's relationship ended everyone knew there was something wrong with cha young as she was like a zombie

Du shik came back to Italy along with his mom and hye jin , Yu Chan won't come as he is very busy

They came for the opening of the new hotel

young ro had to drag cha young to the party as first she worked really hard on it and it'll only make sense that she's there and second what will her family think as they didn't know about cha and vin so it'll raise suspicions and it might turn into something cha young won't like

she was at the party and after she did the opening with her brother and got uncountable congratulations

Du shik got everyone's attention by announcing his engagement with hye jin

They didn't expect him to because no one knew except his mom that he's going to annonce tonight

Cha young was smiling and wiped some tears that started to form in her eyes finally something made her happy

She was near the stage when they both came down and hugged both of them tightly while congratulating them then started looking for her mom after a while she found her and went to her waited until she finished her conversation with someone cha young didn't know

"Eomma I'm happy "she said and hugged her mom her mom smiled and hugged her back tightly "wait where is Du shik ? "Asked Siri

"I don't know really , hold on I'll go ask eonni she was with him " cha young said and went towards hye jin

"Eonni , where is oppa ?"
"I don't know I'm worried about him , he was with me then someone called him and told him something he got so mad and left I've been trying to call him but he's not picking up " said hye jin

"Where is he ? Aish "

"Wait who talked to him ?"
