from business owner Killian Brennan Jones. a very strick, very handsome boss with a heart of gold. Who's choices are manipulated by his father

Emma's aunt walked into the office and up to Emma's desk, "the boss here?" She asked leaning over, "yes, he is. Do you have an appointment?" Emma asked. "Oh I don't need one" she said smug.
"Everyone needs an appointment with the boss, just cause I'm your niece doesn't mean I'm just letting you walk right in" Emma said annoyed
"Oh, he'll accept fiance's" Roni whispered. Emma felt her heart get heavy and sink, she didn't say anything and let her walk in
Killian was working at his desk, well that's what he wanted people to think, really he was looking at old photos of him and Emma, ones from his father's party and even ones from when they were kids and rivaled against each other

"There's my future husband!" Roni shouted holding her arms out. Killian hid the photos fast "hello Roni" he sighed, he missed when Emma used to walk in and love him, or call him an idiot
Roni just wanted sex
Emma used to always have good debates with him
Like that one time back in grade 9
*Flashback*
"We need the worst kinds of criminals dead, who wants those kinds of people here living amongst us? Even if they are in jail, they don't deserve life they deserve the death sentence" Killian said
"But that is murder, murder is bad. We'd be just as bad as the criminal if we have them the death sentence, Canada stopped with it, why can't we?" Emma argued
"Because we're not maple syrup loving hippies that live in igloos?" Killian muttered
Emma rolled her eyes "That's racist, and steryotipical"
"And you should have melted away just like the hot summer sun does to snow" Killian said
"That made no sense"
"Okay kids that's enough" the teacher said "we're not having a rap battle we're having a debate"
"Sorry" the pair said embarrassed
"Go take your seats"
"Do we get an A?" Killian asked
"I wasn't grading this" the teacher rolled her eyes
Emma laughed under her breath, Killian gave her a dirty look telling her to shut up
*Present*
Roni walked over and put her arms around Killian, she kissed his cheek. "So what ya doing?" She asked curiously. "Paperwork, It's all boring stuff.... But that's what I get when my employees are immature and just like gossip" he shrugged
"Oooh I can't wait until we make front page" Roni smiled, "just make sure they get my good side"
"You're already beautiful enough" Killian said, he hated every word of that, that kind of phrase is for Emma's ears not her aunt's
He hates every place he goes because of how much they all remind him of Emma
*FLASHBACK*
"Killian isn't this place a bit too fancy?" Emma whispered, "it's the least I can do for you Em' you've done a lot for me to get my father's approval and I have to repay you" Killian smiled squeezing her hand gently
"But I'm hardly wearing anything nice enough and my hair isn't nicely done and and--" she was stopped by a kiss "w-what was that for?" She asked confused but liking it
"Emma, you look beautiful enough, this dinner isn't for me to get publicity, it's for you to enjoy something fancy, and I'll be the one handling the cheque"
"But--"
"Emma, I have more money than I know what to do with, you order whatever you want, and I pay" he repeated trying not to laugh
He pulled the chair out for her and whispered "by the way, that black dress compliments every part of you and you styled your hair nice as well ... Makes me wish you really were mine" he kissed her cheek and sat down
Emma was blushing like crazy stumbling over her words "I- I don't know- say- I mean I-"
Killian started to laugh "wow, out of all the years I've known you. Even when you did have a crush on me you knew how to keep your cool, what's changed?"
"Out of all the years we've known each other you've never complemented me" she answered
"Yes I have, you're just too stubborn" he said grabbing her hand
"I am not"
"You are, but you're also beautiful" he kissed the back of her hand
*Present*
