Killian used the key that Emma gave to him, She left a note
Blue eyes, I had to go to a last minute interview for the new job I'm applying for, it's a bit of a long ride. Just leave the box of my stuff on the island and take the one with your name on it I'll see you at work so you can return my keys

Killian sighed and grabbed his box from the island, he walked around and noticed that she had cut every photo she had with him in it cut in half
He knew it was all too late, but he wanted her back in his arms, he wanted her to be the first one that he sees in the morning and the last he sees at night
He wanted so much, but for once. Emma Swan was not gonna be someone that was gonna turn to him with a smile saying "I knew you weren't like Brennan" and hug him
He lost that and any chance he had with her
And now he was never going to see her at work
Emma walked into the cafe that Rogers requested to meet him at, she say down in a booth next to the window, ordered her usual and waited
10 minutes passed by, nothing happened
15 minutes passed by, again nothing happened
After half an hour of waiting Emma got up annoyed, just about ready to leave when a man - almost looking identical to Killian - walked in
The only difference was the lighter hair, and eyes almost looking like an ice blue instead of warm ocean blue, and no scar on his cheek

She sat back down and he made his way over to her Smiling "We meet again Emma Nolan-" "Swan" she reminded.
"Swan" he corrected smiling like a schoolboy with their Frist crush, like he did when they were kids
"sorry it took so long, there was traffic" he excused. "That's fine, I understand" she promised reassuringly
"So... what was this meeting about?" She asked curiously "Lunch, to see if you're qualified enough to work for me" he answered "Qualified enough?" She asked confused
"Well I do need some entertainment when I'm not working right?" Rogers asked, leaning towards her, "your co-stars aren't enough?" She asked forcing an uncomfortable laugh
"Common Emma, don't you want to see where this would go?" He asked. Emma raised her eyebrows "Rogers are you asking me out?" She asked, shocked. He nodded without hesitation. "Dude, I dated Killian," she recalled.
"So?" He asked, confused. "Isn't there like a rule where you don't date your cousin's ex?" She asked "Well I didn't sign up for it" he answered
Emma looked down, "so am I getting the job? Or was this all for your own pleasure?" She asked, annoyed.
"Both?. I'll let you know in a week if you've officially got the job" he promised,
she smiled at him "good... you bus this week?" She asked, he shook his head "nop, why?" He asked, hoping for a date,
"well... if you want we can drive back to the city and you know... take a look around at everything, see the family business" she offered
"I'd love to" he smiled, "great, I'll be right back" she smiled before walking to the washroom
