When Percy visited Annabeth’s house for the first time, he was having so much fun. But on the 3rd day of them staying, Percy went to the bathroom and the second he left, he heard Annabeth and her dad get into a fight. They were screaming at each other about Annabeth not being nice to her stepmom, and when Percy came back into the living room he saw them arguing. Subconsciously, he moved in front of Annabeth blocking her from her fathers view. Even though Annabeths dad had never hit her, and even though he knew that Annabeth could protect herself, he still did it. Annabeths dad asked him why and Percy said “because when I was younger me and my mother were abused by her husband Smelly Gabe.” Annabeth and her dad decided to never fight in front of Percy again seeing how upset and worried he was for Annabeth.
