Chapter 9

Jiro POV

I toss and turn in bed holding the plushie I got on my date with Y/n while staring at the picture of us kissing.

'Why did Mina and Toru have to be there?'

I stare at the picture for a bit longer.

'It is a nice picture though.'

I hear my door open and look to see my mom.

Mika:"Hi Kyoka, did your date go well?"

I set my phone down face up and unknowingly keep it on letting Mom see the picture.

"Yeah, I really liked it."

I see her looking at my phone and turn to see its still on and the picture is showing, I feel my face heat up as I scramble to turn it off.

Mika:"So I take it you two are together."

"Yes."

Next thing I know Mom is hugging me.

Mika:"Im so happy for you!"

"Mom!"

Y/n POV

"It works now!'

I say holding up the chomper.

"Well I can't exactly test if it explodes right since Mom's asleep."

Setting the chomper down I lay down on my bed and look at the picture of Kyo with cat ears.

"Adorable."

Putting my phone down I look down at myself and noitce something.

"I should take a shower."

Getting up from bed one thought comes to mind.

'Black Cherries huh?'

"I love you."

Kyo looks at me suprised as she's brought out of her thoughts with that statement.

Jiro:"W-Where'd that come from?"

"You're just so... wow!"

Jiro:"S-Stop it. We need to focus on the festival."

I wrap her in a hug and kiss her cheek.

"I know what I'll focus on."

Kyo shakes her head as she pushes me away after kissing my cheek.

Jiro:"Come on, lets get to the waiting room."

She grabs my hand and starts to pull me to the waiting room where most of our class is at.

Mina:"Hi lovebirds."

"Hi."

Mina:"So what were you two doing?"

"Truth or lie?"

Mina:"Lie."

"Passionately making out."

Jiro:"I was telling him to focus on the sports festival."

"She tried to give me a hickey."

Next thing I know is a stabbing sensation in my ear and im on the floor in pain.

"I didn't deserve this."

Jiro:"Yes you did idiot."

Mina:"You two are so cute."

Toru:"Totally."

Jiro blushes a little and I just smile.

"She likes to cuddle."

Jiro:"Shutup!"

Slowly getting off the floor I sit next to Kyo again.

Kirishima:"So Y/n how do you think you'll do?"

"Dont know, may try to make it to the final round, but not sure."

Kirishima:"What do you mean? Dont you want to win?"

I shrug in response.

"I just wanna have fun."

Todoroki starts to say something to Midoriya and Midoriya gives some reply, I'm too busy messing with Kyo's jacks to listen to them. Iida burst through the door when they're done talking and we all go out to the feild.

Present Mic:"You're here for Class 1-A right!!?"

My classmates and I walk out onto the feild into  view of the stands filled with people.

Kirishima:"Wow, they're really praising us to the sky... I'm getting nervous now."

Bakugo:"I'm not nervous, your just getting stage fright, wuss."

I hear Kirishima and Bakugo say, and I also hear Midoriya and Iida talking.

Present Mic:"And following class B, here come classes C, D, and E from the Dept. of General Education!!"

Said classes walk out onto the feild.

Present Mic:"ANd now here are classes F, G, H of the Departement of Support! Now for the Dept. of Managment's..."

Turning my attention to the podium in the middle I notice the umpire for the event. The R rated heroine Midnight.

"Midnight's the ref... neat."

Feeling someone glaring at me I turn to see Kyoka.

"Need something Kyo?"

Jiro:"No."

She says looking away with her arms crossed.

Tokoyami:"Is clothing like that really appropriate for a school event?"

"Pfft, Kyo looks better in anything."

I say not noticing a blush on Kyoka's face beside me.

Midnight:"Silence. My tenure here is perfectly on the level! Now player rep!! Bakugo Katsuki of 1-A!!"

Midoriya:"Ehhh!? Our representative is Kaccha!?"

Sero:"He placed first in the entrance exam, remember."

RandomGirl:"Yeah, the heroics entrance exam."

"Ahh shut up, 10 dollars says he's smarter than you."

The girl scoffs and looks away.

I turn back to the stage which now has Bakugo on it and people are now mad at him for some reason... I should really stop tuning things out.

Midnight:"All right, with that we can move directly onto our first event!"

A big screen turns on.

Midnight:"And this year's first round of destiny is...."

The screen show 'OBSTACLE RACE'.

Midnight:"...This!!!"

"Running and dodging things. Simple."

Midnight:"It's a race between all 11 classes! The course makes a nearly 4 km ring around the stadium!"

Doors on one side of the stadium open with some stoplight ontop of them signalling thats where we start.

Midnight:"You're allowed to do anything so as long as you remain within the course!"

Everyone starts to get into a running position at the entrance.

Midnight:"So lets get cracking... on your marks..."
