LIBILLULE LAY WITH HER BACK PRESSED INTO THE MATTRESS OF HER BED, TIE AND SHOES LONG DISCARDED, WITH HER SOCK-CLAD FEET SOMEWHAT PULLED CLOSE TO HER CHEST AS SHE READ THE MOST RECENT LETTER REGULUS HAD SENT HER. A giggle festered from her chest reading his words over and over again. This was progress. Dangerous progress. But still progress.
She would admit, she definitely had somewhat of a small crush on this distant boy. But she had no intention of acting on those feelings. He would probably laugh in her face for it. So all she had going for her were the letters he claimed to not want to write back to but ended up doing either way. A war was coming and this was their only form of normalcy they could conjure, and she was just fine with that.
