(Joel is driving the truck while Ellie and Blake sit in the back)

(Blake is looking out the window at the scenery while Ellie reads a comic book)

Ellie: Aw man!

Joel: Hey, what happened to sleeping?

Ellie: Ok, I know it doesn't look like it, but this here is not a bad read. Only one problem. To be continued!

Blake: Ugh. Cliffhanger

Joel: Where did you get that?

Ellie: Back at Bill's. I mean, all this stuff was just laying there

(Joel mentally facepalms and sighs)

Joel: What else did you get?

(Ellie hands Joel a CD)

Ellie: Here. Does this make you all nostalgic?

Joel: You know, that is actually before my time. But it's a winner though

(Joel puts the CD in the radio, and it starts playing some music)

Blake: Nice find, Ellie. You sure you don't want me to take a shift driving?

Joel: Nah. I can handle it

Ellie: I'm sure Bill's gonna be missing this tonight. Light on reading, but it's got some interesting pictures

(Ellie pulls out a pornographic magazine, and Blake tries to hold in their laughter while Joel's eyes bug out of his face)

Joel: Uh, Ellie, that ain't for kids

(Ellie turns the magazine sideways, and a bigger picture unfolds)

Ellie: How in the hell would he even walk around with that thing?

Blake: (Wheeze)

Joel: Get rid of that!

Ellie: Hold on! I want to see what the fuss is all about... Oh. Why are all of these stuck together?

Joel: Uh...

Blake: You see, when a guy uses his hand and grips his-

Joel: Apapapapap! Do not

(Ellie flips to a non-stuck picture)

Ellie: Hey Blake. Do you have muscles like these?

Blake: I... Um... Maybe?

(Ellie laughs)

Ellie: I'm just fucking with you guys. Bye bye dude!

(Ellie tosses the magazine out the window, much to Joel's relief. Then she pulls out a cassette tape)

Ellie: This make you all nostalgic?

Joel: You know, this is actually before my time. Still a winner though

(Joel pops the tape into the car)

Ellie: You know, the music isn't bad

Blake: Maybe not my go to choice, but it's better than nothing

Joel: Why don't you try and get some sleep, alright?

Ellie: Pfft. I'm not even tired

(The scene immediately cuts to Ellie asleep while leaning her head on Blake's shoulder, who is also asleep)

(Joel looks in the rear view mirror and sees Ellie leaning on Blake while they're both asleep, and he can't help but smile)
