Chapter 3We Walk a Bloody Path

Silently, Death climbed through Ai's window as she changed. She was only in a bra and underwear. Ai turned and saw Death holding a knife. She grabbed hers, not noticing she was only in undergarments. "Hello hottie!" Death taunted. "Maybe you should put the knife down you wouldn't want to hurt anyone." "What the fuck are you doing here. Get the fuck out!" Ai growled. "Now now thats no way to treat death."  Death said. "And haven't you noticed you're just in your underwear?"  Ai moved her free hand over her bra. she felt heat rush to her face."You don't want to fight the Crimson killer do you?" Ai asked."You're the Crimson killer. I expected you to be,um, uglier." "Now you know that I'm the Crimson killer you have to die." She growled. "Or I have a better idea. I'm Death so we could combine our killings. Plus I need a place to crash and you've got a pretty nice place. And you would get a hot guy living with you, that could have some benefits for you." "Why should I work with you? I work alone. More people, more DNA, more risk of getting caught." "Ha! Me get caught! How do you think I've gotten away?" Death laughed."Um I don't know. Luck." Ai answered. "No, I'm just good at covering my tracks. And if I can't stay here I'll tell everyone that I know were the Crimson killer hides." Death reasoned. "Fine. You narcissistic asshole." Ai whispered the last part."Good. Oh here." Death said handing Ai her black T-shirt. After Ai got dressed she asked. "Whats your name?" "Hm. Oh its Satochi, Satochi Shi. What's yours?""Ai Kurenia." Ai answered."Ha! Kurenia means crimson, clever.""Yeah and doesn't Shi mean Death?" Ai asked. "Yep. But the media named me." Satochi said boredly. "Same here. Where are you gonna sleep?" Ai asked."I thought you would let me sleep with you? I mean look at me. I'm sexy as hell." Satochi bragged. Ai had to admit he looked pretty sexy. He had short black hair and was pretty tall. And his eyes looked like they glowed red."No. You're not sleeping with me. You can sleep on the floor or down stairs in a different room." Ai said shaking the thought from her mind."Aww come on. You know you want to sleep with me." He joked"No." Ai said unimpressed. But their was something about him that intrigued her."Fine. I'll sleep on the cold floor." He said rolling off her bed. "Oh and by the way, You've got a nice body."  Ai could feel the heat rush to her face. His laughter filled the room."Shut the fuck up!" She yelled as she though a pillow at his face. She crawled into her bed. She couldn't tell whether she hated Satochi or liked him. She never liked a guy before, she also never had an enemy. "Mom can I have a friend come over? We're gonna study for a test." Ai asked her mom."No you know that they would just distract you from your studies."  Her mother snapped."But mom you never let me have friends over." Ai wined. "Thats it young lady. Go to your room!" Her mother yelled. Ai obeyed and went to her room. When she got up there she through her bag at the wall. And started to sob."I hate my life." Ai whispered knowing no one would hear her."Morning Sunshine." Ai awoke to Satochi right in her face. "Ack!" She shouted. "What the hell!" She said as she punched him in the face."Hey! Ouch! That hurt!" Satochi said."Get out of my bed!" Ai growled."Hey I've been in your bed since you fell asleep. By the way, you look like you have nightmares when you sleep, and you look so cute and innocent. I would have never guessed you were a serial killer." Satochi laughed as the color rushed out of her face."You've been in my bed since I fell asleep." She choked out."Yeah, you looked cold so I climbed into you bed in an attempt to warm you up." He smiled. Sure that was your reason, Ai thought. "Hey it was a completely innocent idea." Satochi said slyly. Ai didn't trust him at all. She jumped out of bed and went down stairs. Satochi followed her. Ai opened the fridge and pulled out a piece of cheesecake."Cheesecake?" He said."Yeah." Ai said stuffing a bite in her mouth. "I love cheesecake. Its my favorite Got a problem with that?""No, I like cheesecake too." Satochi said. Ai nearly choked on her cake."What!" She said. "What its not that crazy." He said grabbing a piece. Ai thought this might be the beginning of an amazing Friendship/Enemyship."Or maybe a relationship, if you liked me.""AHHH! Did you just read my mind!" Ai shrieked."Of course I'm an esper. Just kidding I just have keen senses."  Satochi said. But Ai could tell something was up. "Ok then, but please don't ever do that again." Ai sighed. The rest of the day was mundane. Nothing happened except for the news wondering when will the two killers at large will strike, and were. Ai still was suspicious about Satochi and what had happened earlier. Had he actually read her mind? If so how long has he been doing that? Did he hear where she called him sexy? Please have him not hear that, she prayed."I'm going out killing. Wanna join me?" Satochi asked as he grabbed his knife and skeleton mask."I work alone. I'll go kill someone else." Ai said as she put on her mask."You know if we kill together we could kill more people. Possibly even that one house down the street full of people." He said."Fine." Ai said jumping out the window. As she jumped outside the cold fall air embraced her. Satochi was running at her side. Ai wasn't used to working with others. When they got to the house they split up. Ai got the children's rooms. She looked inside one room to find a baby sleeping in a crib."Hush little baby. Don't you cry. Ai's gonna sing you a lullaby. You will not survive, because life is not a fair at all!" Ai sang as she killed the baby. Then she snuck into the second room. She found two young boys, both sleeping soundly. She cut open one boys skull, and one boys stomach. She took out one boys brain and placed it on the floor. Then she pulled out the second boys insides to create a pattern on the floor. Finally she went and grabbed the baby, and put him in the middle of the pattern. "We'll paint the world in crimson." Is what Ai put on the wall. Than she heard Satochi in the doorway."We'll paint the world in crimson. Nice. And I see you killed the baby, I thought you weren't gonna be able to do that.""Why wouldn't I." Ai asked"Because your a girl, and aren't girls supposed to be nice to kids?""Are you calling me weak?" Ai accused."No I was just wondering." Satochi said. Ai walked past him to see what he did. She walked into the parent's room. Only to find a room covered in guts and blood. It looked like they had exploited. The walls were oozing guts and blood. It was something right out of Corpse Party."Pretty nice work right?" Satochi said proudly."Wow!" Ai exclaimed. "Come on lets go." Satochi said.  Ai and Satochi left behind a bloody mess in their wake.  When they got back Ai got changed in the bathroom, so she could prevent any peeping toms. Like Satochi. She walked out of the bathroom only to see, A shirtless Satochi. Ai instantly turned around and walked back into the bathroom.Oh no, Ai thought. He's even hotter with out his shirt on. Get ahold of yourself Ai, hes not hot you're just slowly going crazy. "I do not think Satochi is sexy." Ai quietly repeated to herself. When she mustered up her courage, she walked out of the bathroom. Instantly she regretted her decision."So did you like what you saw?" Satochi asked slyly."Shut the fuck up!" Ai said as she punched him in the gut. "Hey it was just a joke, and it was you who thought it." Satochi coughed out."What? Ok you do not have just keen senses, so cut the bullshit." Ai said annoyed. "What bullshit? I just have keen senses." Satochi sputtered. "Come on. Tell me the truth. You have some sort of espn or something." Ai pointed out."If I told you, you would fear me." Satochi whispered. "What?" Ai said confused. "What do you mean fear you?""I'm not what you think I am. I'm something completely different.""What are you? Why can't you tell me?" Ai urged. "Because I just can't!" He snapped, and raised his hand in frustration. Ai shrunk back and braced herself for a smack. Satochi looked at her. "What did you think I was gonna hit you?" Ai nodded. "Why would I hit you?""I don't know. But thats what father did when I made him mad." Ai squicked. Satochis eyes went wide."He did what!" Satochi barked. "Don't worry about it." Ai yawned. "I just want too go too bed. I don't want you to worry." Ai walked over to her bed. Sleep was clawing at her, until she let it pull her into her dreams."Hush little Ai don't you cry, Auntie's gonna sing you a lullaby. If that lullaby don't help, Auntie's gonna give an art shelf." Ai's Aunt sang to her."Isabella what are you doing!" Ai's mom shouted.  "Calm down sister, I'm just singing your daugher a lullaby. I'm not killing her.""I told you not to sing to her, she won't stop singing if you do." Ai's mom hissed as she picked up little 4 year old Ai. "Auntie please keep singing you have a botiful voice." Ai wined. "Don't worry Ai I'll come back next week and sing to you." Ai's aunt vowed. "Ai! Ai, wake up!" Satochi said shaking her awake. "Huh what?" Ai mumbled."You were having a nightmare, it was waking me up." He said slightly concerned."Oh I'm sorry. I didnt mean to wake you. I just have nightmares a lot." Ai yawned."Just try to go back to sleep it's late." Satochi said. Ai instantly fell back into her dreams. The next day Ai and Satochi decided to kill a family of 2. But what happened was not what they expected."I'll kill the wife." Satochi said."Ok. I'll get the husband." Ai agreed. She snuck into the living room where the husband was. She snuck up behind him. He turned around with a gun in hand. The gun shot. Ai killed him, she looked down and saw blood forming on her shirt.
