"Does Jemisha know Jalynna will be here?" My mom asked.
"Yea." I lied.
"Mmkkaayy, do they like eachother?"
"I don't know, they haven't met."
"So you're bringing your baby mama and girlfriend to a family barbecue without letting them meet first?"
"What's wrong with that?"
"You don't see anything wrong?"
"No?"
"Don't let your ex you're very much involved in and new boo meet at a family gathering.. it makes your ex feel like 'wow everyone knew but, me.. I look dumb' and especially with how you and Jemisha have been hanging out lately and, they haven't met? Tuh." She put paper plates in my hand, "You never know how it'll go down, this is a risky gameeee.. better hope they like eachother kiddo."
"They will." I said following behind her to the back yard.
"Does your dad know about Jalynna?"
"No."
"Cause you know he gon curse ya ass out... I cannot wait till he gets here." My mama snickered.

"Me having a girlfriend while Jemisha is pregnant?"

"Oop- Heeyyy Darwin.. I'll let my favorite boys catch up." My mama quickly walked away.

My dad stared at me.
"Fine, She became my girlfriend like a week ago."
He continued staring at me.
"Dad?"
He then shook his head and walked away. I didn't understand what the problem was.
