Camp Jaha was loud as people were frantically walking around, packing their things. The decision had been made and they were planning to leave before the grounders would show up and attack them. The rain had slowly been coming to a stop, but the mud on the ground was still evident as it splashed around whenever someone would step in it. By the end of the crowd, Abby and Jaha could be seen as they stood side by side near the gate, watching as everyone walked around, chatters being heard all around .
The sound of the gate opening with a buzz filled their ears, making them look over and see Finn, Y/n and Clarke rushing inside. The blonde catches sight of her and her sister's mother and rushes over, Finn and Y/n quickly following . Clarke had explained to them what her idea was to stop the battle from the grounders happening and could only hope that it would work out in the end to let their people live.
"Mom." Clarke calls out.
"Where have you been?" Abby asks, glancing between both her daughters. "We're leaving."
"I know how to stop the attack." Clarke informs.
Jaha furrows his brows. "What are you talking about?"
"We haven't been able to negotiate with the grounders because we haven't had anything to offer them. The biggest threat they face is from the reapers. I think we may be able to eliminate that threat for them once and for all. "Clarke explains.
"How?" Abby questions.
"Abby. You can't serious--" Jaha begins.
However, the man stops himself by the sound of calls and shouts from the civilians in the camp. All of them look over to where everyone else was looking, seeing torches out in the distance that could only be the grounders. People were walking close the fence to get a better look, but making sure to stay back just far enough. Y/n, Clarke and Finn felt themselves tense even more as they watch the torches multiply.
"They're here." Jaha announces.
After that, a few minutes pass before the five were making their way into the Ark and around a large table. Y/n had the palms of her hands rested on top of the table, Finn doing the same as he stood beside her while Clarke stood on the girl's other side. Abby stood across from them and Jaha was the only one sitting down, his elbows rested on the table as he seemed to be deep in thought.
"They're not attacking yet, which means we still have time." Clarke states.
"We have two hours till dawn." Abby reminds.
"Let me talk to the commander. She was Anya's second. Maybe she'll listen." Clarke insists.
Jaha sighs. "We don't even know if the commander's here."
