I walk down the deserted hall, the sun long set, taking the daylight with it. Mara said that she was going to bed but yet again I can't find her.

She always seems to be disappearing, no matter where I am she's always somewhere else. She has a tendency to go do a task but often getting distracted by something else.

I open the kitchen door. Dim overhead lights cast down on the countertop, multiple bottles of alcohol of all different kinds are scattered on it, the amount of liquid in each varying.

Before I got gather what was happening, Mara was in front of me, her first flying towards my throat.

"KA-CHOW!" She shrieked.

She throat punched me.

I stumbled back, slightly shocked as I inhaled deeply, trying to get the air back through my throat.

"Mara, what the fuck?!" I questioned, looking towards her.

"I just had to make sure you weren't Nikolai, better to be safe than sorry, eh?" She grinned, her eyes hazy.

"Where did you get all of this alcohol and how much have you drank? I thought I locked all mine up because the last time you got into my supply like a fucking raccoon!"

"Number one, I am not a trash panda and number two, my supplier told me that I couldn't tell you-." She pauses to hiccup for continuing again. "Made me swear, but I'm a liar. It was Mario, he helped me get into the alcohol with a key." She hiccups again.

I drag my hand down my face. "Mario as in the Mario who's as quiet as a mouse?"

"Yeah, Mario as in the Mario who's crushing on your sister." Her eyes widens and she slaps her hand over her mouth, her eyes filled with fear.

"I didn't say that, who said that?" She mumbled, trying to cover her mistake.

"Mario's crushing on my sister and has a key to my office where I keep my alcohol?" I questioned, my jaw tightening.

Maybe deep down I noticed that he was getting to comfortable with my sister but I hoped that I was paranoid and that he didn't have such an interest, because I didn't want to kill him, considering he's good at his job.

"Why did you drink so much?" I groaned.

"Aunt Flo came to town." She said.

I stared at her blankly.

"Aunt Flo?"

"Shark week." She continued.

I have no idea what's she's talking about.
