NAINA :

"Naina let's date..!!" These were his exact words... My eyes snapped towards him... I thought he was joking. I said , " Excuse me....!!!" ..I was looking into his eyes to look for any sort of prank or jokes...

"I said Naina we should date.." He asked now with sincerity... A smile smile playing at the corner of his lips. My mouth opened and closed. . He was holding my shoulders . There was so much intensity in his eyes... I don't know what to say.

He shook my shoulders and asked with concern in his eyes , " Naina are you okay? I am sorry if I said anything wrong.. I mean I like you a lot.."

I closed my eyes.. Tears were threatening to come out of my eyes.. This is not possible..
"I am sorry Kabir..... but..... " and I broke down I sat down i the floor... Tears spilling out of my eyes...

I could hear Kabir asking me what happened , his concern evident in his eyes....

No ! No ! these are not good signs....! I couldn't fall in love again.... If Kabir comes in my life ,and something happens to him , I couldn't forgive myself for that. Every person who ever came in my life Mom Dad Advaith, everyone has left me...I cannot bear the loss again if something happens to him..

I wiped my tears and made myself strong.... I started , " Sorry Kabir !! But I can't!!"
He looked at me ..... confusion evident in his eyes ... "I mean we can't do that..."

"Why ! I mean can I know the reason ?... wait!! Is there someone in your life??..." he said looking at me hopefully.

I am sorry but I have to do this!!

I started , "That is none of your concern !!!!! Are yaar !! Maine tumse haste haste Do chaar batein kya karli tum toh ekdum se mujhe like karne lage...... Hold on dude !!"

His hopeful eyes turned into hurt and then into rage , "What do you mean ?"

"What I mean is I don't like you !! And there can be nothing like us" I said air quoting the us...

"You are joking right... I can feel there is something between us... You have some past right... I swear everything will be right... you just say yes.." He said pleading me...

My heart started to beat faster.. He is making everything difficult.. Why can't he just understand...

KABIR :

This is not the Naina I know.. Every minute she is proving me wrong... A few minutes ago she broke down, but the Naina which I am seeing right now is someone else. It seems someone has flipped a switch.

She said chuckling , " joking ! You are joking Kabir.. we are just friends..... And about feelings... you took it too seriously....... I mean you can get thousand of girls at your feet...... Kabir let me go... They are far better than me.."
