After getting changed she grabbed her keys, the list and the money her grandmother had left, she walked out of the apartment and looked around for a supermarket, having no idea where to go she pulled out her pear phone and typed it into google maps.
Luckily the store was only five minutes away from her so she could still walk there. It took her 30 minutes to get everything she needed. As she walked to the counter she saw a small line with only two people as she waited for the girl in front of her to turn to her.
She had bright red hair that was clearly dyed red, and she was holding a lot of bags of candy. "Can I help you?" Marinette said, looking at the girl.
"Did you know around here I've never seen you before?" she asked with a large smile on her face.
"Yeah, what's it to you?" Marinette asked the girl was very happy, reminding her of herself a couple years back.
"My name's Cat Valentine, what's yours?" she asked looking at her, from what Marinette could tell this girl was her same age probably or very close to it.
"Mar- Jade, Jade West" she said, nearly saying Marinette, Marinette was gone and it was Jade now.
"Nice to meet you Jade" the redhead went to say something else but it was her turn at the cash register. After paying for her things she said goodbye and hoped to meet Jade again with that she left.
The girl was interesting, were all girls here like that with bright red hair and that cheerful.
Walking out of the store she saw lots of kids in a park, all hanging out with friends. Marinette wished she could have friends like that but that would never happen.
The old Marinette was gone and now it was Jade she wasn't planning to get hurt again by people who would only use her in the long run.
Making her way back to the apartment, she walked up in the lobby looking for an elevator and luckily there was one, entering the apartment she felt more or less alone in a way.
Placing the groceries on the kitchen counter she heard a small bark behind her turning around and she found Tikki, she stroked the puppy before putting things away.
She didn't do anything to go bad because she forgot to put it in the fridge. After the long trip out she decided to get an outfit ready for tomorrow before getting in some more practice.
