The new Marinette (Marinette as Jade West)

Chapter 13

"Hi miss, you called for me" said a very enthusiastic redhead, which you could clearly tell was dyed

"Hello Cat, this is our new student Jade, I was hoping you could show her around" the receptionist said.

"Of course, hi Jade you wear a lot of black you know my brother sometimes -" "Girls, why don't you head to class and you can tell her your story at lunch?" the woman said from behind her desk.

"Of course" Cat said giggling, grabbing Marinette's and she dragged her from the office up a flight of stairs and up into a classroom.

"This is Mr. Sikowitz class, he's an acting teacher" Cat said, opening a classroom door.

Walking in a bunch of students her age just sitting around as a man holding a coconut talked on stage, he was going over requirements and rules for the years along with how auditions and that worked.

Apparently seeing as they had all joined at various times, they each had to do a special one person play called the bird scene.

Each new student had to complete it and had to do it over and over again till they got it right but they couldn't ask help from other students or the teacher.

Marinette was given the script at the end of class and had to memorise it, during the class they talked about different skills needed in acting.

By the time class ended Marinette had met some of her new classmates. They were a small group of friends who seemed very well knit together. Honestly at first she felt like she was intruding on the group.

But then again she wasn't the same girl she was back in Paris, how much that place pained her to think about while bringing up so many memories.

She got to know the redhead she met this morning better apparently her name was Cat Valentine, she was a very bubbly, cheerful and honestly dimwitted person. She would tell stories about her brother and get distracted easily.

Another person she met was Andre Harris. He was kind, friendly and clearly musically talented with both his voice and instruments. He reminded her of Nino, they both loved music but Andre played and wrote his own songs.

The next person she met was Robbie Shapiro and Rex Powers, he is a ventriloquist and his puppet is Rex who insults him every chance he gets. The kid was shy at first and very awkward but it was kinda cool to Marinette how he got the puppet to speak.

Though she would never say it out loud, and finally she met Beck Oliver he was apparently Canadian. He was very laid back, kind, softly spoken and clearly got along with everyone in the room.

Marinette even caught the guy glancing at her a few times.

Hey guys,

Been a while since I've done an author's note anyway, I was thinking maybe covering the main stuff then skipping forward about a couple months to when Tori joins the school and Marinette's thoughts on her and then forward a few months to when the class visits the school.

Oh and I nearly forgot to mention, I will be updating this book every Tuesday from now on.
