A/ N: I'm so sorry for not updating, but I was and still am so overwhelmed with my pre-exams, studying and just life, that I can't/ couldn't really focus on writing as much. The next chapter will also take a bit of time, looking at the fact that I just finished 1/6 of my whole exams🙄 (I'm not used to study?! Why did no one tell me how exhausting this is???) I didn't even start to study for my exam on Wednesday🤡

Anyway, I'll try my best to continue. I hope you'll enjoy reading:]

My consciousness slowly came back, as I woke up. I was about to turn around, on my other side, when an arm hold me in place.

"Good morning." A voice, which had become my favourite, mumbled close to my ear. Smiling softly, I shifted back into my old position. I took in her scent and the warmth of her skin, which earned my body to relax further.

"Morning." I cracked out, due to my dry throat.

The blonde giggled. "I love your morning voice."

"Please, shut up!" I laughed with my cracked voice, making Cate laugh even more. Her hug tightened and I rose my head, looking right at her. As I took in her every feature, I knew it.

"How did you sleep?" The woman stopped my train of thoughts.

"Quite well, you?" I yawned and watched a smile form on the blonde's lips.

"Very well." My head tilted slightly and I looked at her side profile, overviewing it. The soft fur on her skin and the softness within her face, it was perfect. My fingers reached for her nose, tracing it gently. Cate grinned and I felt her eyes on me. "You're so cute." At her words I couldn't help but smile and blush. "But what are you doing?" The blonde laughed, so I gently placed my hand on her stomach again.

"I'm admiring the art." This earned Cate to fill the room with soft laughs. "I mean look at you?!" Blue eyes looked at me and I felt, as if there was always so much behind them. So much meaning. So many words that aren't spoken. Suddenly Cate rose her hand, making me flinch for just a second, but when she slowed down her movements, I allowed her fingers to touch my nose as well. The blonde slid her index finger along my nose and it was making me feel sheltered.

"You are perfect." She whispered and water set in. I closed my eyes in attempt to keep my tears inside. "Don't do that."

"Do what?" I cooed.

"Close your eyes to hold back emotions. We can see so very much within someone's eyes." My heartbeat fastened up, meanwhile a deep red spread across my cheeks. "So look at me, love. I wanna see you." Her finger slid down my chin and I carefully cracked my eyes open. "This is beautiful." I flashed a toothy grin and let the other woman glide her finger along my jawline.

"What's the plan for today? Wait don't you need to work?!" My eyes shot open and Cate's reaction was just a smile. "Cate?! What time is it? The kids have to go to school!"

"Calm down, sweetheart." She laughed. "I managed to organize something." My brows knitted and the blonde continued softly. "Because of your back, I really don't want you to drive around. The boys take the bus to school and back home." Just when I wanted to cut in, she had placed her finger on top of my lips, stopping me. "I am having a day off. There's just Edith-" And at the mention of the girl's name, she opened the door and ran right into the room. The purple elephant in her hand.

"Morning mommy-" Her eyes twitched towards me. The one who laid still cuddled up into Cate's arms. "Morning Vee." She beamed from ear to ear and crawled right on top of Cate. Ignoring the fact, I laid cuddled up in her mom's arms. Her legs were even slightly on top of mine.
